The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
The atmosphere of the tavern started to change as more people started to show up. When the air shifted, at first Amaya thought it was the vampires that were making the energy around her tingle. Once another figure sat beside her, she found the source of the change. At first glance she thought it was a fairy. The second glance, and she did have to do a double-take, she confirmed the woman was anything but a fairy, and certainly not a vampire. Her slow mischievous grin spread across her face, the need for alcohol forgotten. Beside her the woman gets comfortable while Amaya sips at her drink, her feet tapping on the floor to the beat of the music that was playing. Prone to easy laughter, she chuckled at the greeting. "Aye, no!" She replied with a grin, her eyes turning to study her face on. "You take two licks from the Cap'in and see how you're feeling after." Pleased that she still had her wits about her, brown eyes flicked over her from under the hat, watching close while her smile quirked from behind the rim of her glass. She hesitated a moment and took inventory of her intoxication level. Two shots and half a mix was enough to curb her instinctual terror of vampires and get the warm tingle. The draw of the music and the pulse of the growing energy around them, not to mention the buzz of being in proximity to another witch, made her mind up for her. She set her glass down and pushed away from the bar. Years of ballroom dancing helped her spin on point and extend a hand to the pink haired fairy witch. "Dance with me, and I'll show you how well I can hold my liquer!" Teeth and tongue playing with her lip ring, the look Amaya offered with her hand was a playful challenge and a dare. The moment their hands would touch she could lead her into a dance, no matter the music and no matter the skill of her dance partner. |
