Life had been a lonely thing for the snow leopard, not out of the ordinary for a feline such as herself but over time it starts to wear on those of her kind even the more desperate ones such as herself. It was on the edge of all of that she had first met Sebastian at that Halloween party... what going on five years ago? That made him just about her oldest friend, or at least her oldest acquaintance if nothing else and perhaps it was that sense of connection, the desire for it that kept drawing them together. There was much more to it than that of course, or less perhaps in regard to whatever it was the seemed to constantly hover in the atmosphere when they seemed to share the same space. There was no doubt that he was always the best distraction, and somehow always appeared when that was what she most wanted and needed. It should be no surprise that this need is what had drawn her to the bar tonight and running into him on the rooftop while chance was not disappointing; being in the same room with the charismatic vampire could never be described as disappointing.
Still he seemed rather wary, or weary, or perhaps both perhaps due to the frequency of their contact as she now revealed just how much she knew about his identity. While she admitted she couldn't necessarily blame him her mind rarely strayed beyond thoughts of the night when they were together. Yet she answered his question as truthfully as she could, perhaps not with the whole truth but enough of it she hoped as her fingers lazed across the silky soft skin of her arm. It was an attempt to ground herself, to hold herself together that had her power leaking out around them as reflexively as the movement of her hands on her body was. It was a newer ability, one she had not yet mastered and while she was finding it had its uses especially as a bartender and waitress at a well-known shady establishment known for its less than trustworthy clientele.
The deep, velvety soft chuckle that left him drew her gaze back to his and as she saw in his crystalline eyes the understanding she had been yearning for. Despite all their differences from status to breed on this level they were matched and something in that drew her smile further across pink lips. The lilt of his accent was a touch mesmerizing as he drew closer to her and continued his questioning of her intent. At his mention of it her attention flickered to the door she had emerged from so unceremoniously merely moments ago, the light and sound leaking out onto the serenity of the rooftop patio. A slight shudder ran through her body at the memory of what had driven her from the escape she had been seeking and effectively into the vampire's company once more.
Pulling her gaze back to the much more appealing sight of the vampire leaning so gracefully across the cocktail table she gave a soft sigh.
