Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Kato Buhari

The last few nights had been trying at best for the African. He had come back to the house Edie called home and which he returned to most nights to be at her side only to find her gone. At first he had figured she was simply out having fun as she was prone to do so had left and returned the next night. Still no Edie. At that point Kato grew concerned and had it not been for Claire being home at the time and informing him of the message Edie had left on the answering machine he probably would have gone on a wild goose chase through town to find his girlfriend. Now he was just irritated at the stallion once more for whisking his girlfriend away. Kato wasn't generally a possessive or jealous individual but something about the other male bothered him. Perhaps it was the stallion's dominant nature where Kato had lived in a more communal atmosphere.

Kato had been busy the day Edie returned as well in town. While he didn't necessarily need the money he had found a job at a little market in town where an elderly couple needed help with all the manual labor for deliveries and cleaning. That day he had stayed late to help close up and by the time he had made his way back to the house Edie had already left. This time however he was sure she was just out having fun and not cities away again. Although with each passing hour he was given to have that bothersome feeling once more. She knew he was to be spending the night with her tonight; it was to be his time with her from being apart for so long. Kato couldn't ignore the exhaustion that had plagued him from being gone all day and into a good portion of the night. Eventually he fell asleep waiting for Edie to return, more miffed than anything else. He had had a plan to take her out when he had come home. Now that was lost.

The African was used to sleeping amongst the sounds of nature and noise in general so while Edie's none to discreet entrance into the house may have woken the rest, Kato remained asleep. It wasn't until a body near collided with his that he pulled from sleep. "What are you-..." It wasn't normal for Edie to one, fling herself onto the bed that wasn't in pretense to one of their romps, and secondly to be so...slurred. He had seen Edie tipsy before, perhaps even drunk, but never this gone. Kato's brows wrinkled as he tried to make sense of the woman wiggling against him. Her normally enticing scent that was wholly unique to her was shrouded in something that stirred something very unpleasant within the male. "Edie, where have you been?" He rolled over to flip on the end table light before regarding her once more.

Now that he was able to fully look upon her he was able to take note of her appearance. She looked like she had been partying, not uncommon, but what bothered him was the red marks on her neck. He knew every inch of her body, intimately so, so his eyes naturally drew to the one thing that wasn't normal. "What...what is that? What happened?" Of course concern flooded his system as he reached out to tilt her chin to the side to get a better look at the marks that marred her porcelain skin. He knew what species lurked in the shadows of this city, had heard of them using the types of places Edie enjoyed as a hunting ground. Kato's immediate thought was that she had been attacked.
