Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry was trying so hard to work through the words Sterling was saying. He was even traying to rationalize it. He was doing anything in his power to come to an understanding with what Sterling was telling him. Unfortunately, it wasn't working. Henry couldn't remember anything from that night, so he was unable to shed any light on the situation. It was utterly frustrating and he wished so badly that he could make some kind of sense about the events of last night. But he couldn't. It didn't help that Sterling continued, elaborating more on what exactly he had turned into. Sterling was saying that he would shift into a panther every full moon? Nonsense. "I hear what you're saying, but it makes no fucking sense to me." Maybe his brain was just muttled from whatever had happened. Surely there was a much simpler explanation. Something like drinking, drugs, wild sex...something other than him turning into a panther. It was just easier if he just forgot about last night. Yes. Forgetting was so much easier than confrontation. Henry was sure that he would just ride that path. He would put this nonsense behind him and never look back at it.

When Sterling spoke of his feelings, it was a godsend. It allowed Henry to move off the topic of shifting and onto something that made so much more sense to Henry. He knew he loved Sterling and from the way Sterling was talking, it seemed like he was well on his way to loving Henry right back. It was a blessing.

Their single kiss had opened up an entirely new can of worms that was just as confusing as the shifting one. He remembered everything that had happened before he woke up in the park here in Sacrosanct. He remembered living with Sterling and loving every minute with him. He remembered that fucking plant that Sterling loved so much. He remembered always waking up next to Sterling and the way he moaned in his sleep when Henry tried to rouse him. He even remembered Sterling sleeping with Kat and then leaving. However, right now, Henry wanted to focus on the positive memories. After all, Kat wasn't here.

Deep in the back of his mind, Henry hoped that Sterling remembered their life too. Henry wasn't sure he was up for trying to explain how he suddenly remembered everything about his life before. That was sure to be just as confusing. But as if God was looking down on him, Sterling seemed to remember as well. Henry saw his gaze dart towards his lap, a grin briefly crossing the man's features. Maybe he forgot that Henry was still as naked as the day he was born. He seemed not to notice because he drew his gaze to Henry's face. Henry waited almost impatiently for Sterling to speak. He could tell that his lover was pulling his thoughts and words into something sensible. So he waited. He waited until Sterling spoke before he drew Sterling in for another kiss. His lips were soft against Sterling's before he broke the much needed contact to speak. "Sterling..." He waited for Sterling's gaze to greet him. When it didn't happen, he slowly brought a finger beneath Sterling's chin and drew his gaze to lock with his. "I don't care about that." In the moment, it had hurt Henry, but he wasn't exactly known for being faithful to Sterling either. He supposed he deserved it. "Lord knows I deserved it. But right now...you're all that matters to me." His heart swelled with love for the man who cuddled him on the steps. It was an overpowering emotion that Henry wasn't sure what to do with. He felt so much for Sterling...more than he could even quantify.
