Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Just another Night to Kill

I certainly tell she's not happy to see me though she doesn't seem particularly unhappy to see me. She just looks unhappy in general. Did something happen? Did I miss something? She's holding onto that blanket like it's her lifeline and she looks like she hasn't slept in days. I find myself glancing around. "Where's Dorian? Doesn't he usually hang out with you as your right hand body guard or something? Not that I don't enjoy just talking to you. I just want to make sure you're safe."

She does sound exhausted and it matches the looks of her. She looks like she's too tired to even hold herself up. I follow her to the couch, watching her flinch as she turns on the light as if she's been in the dark for days. My brows furrow in concern, trying to read her face. She collapses on the couch, pulling more blankets around her. "You cold?" I scowl. I move toward the other couch, sitting down slowly as I try to figure out how to get around to what I'm supposed to be talking about.

When she starts to speak, I look up, giving her my full attention. She offers a smile but it seems fragile. She tells me its not a bad time and I nod, though I don't know if I'm completely convinced. After a minute, she swallows and turns her head away sharply and my brow rises. The tension in the air is killing me. At her question, I clear my throat, trying to think of how to begin. "Well, actually it's about what I can do for you, Sam. I've been considering your offer on the beach, the one about joining your heirarchy. I had originally planned on playing hard to catch a little bit longer but...well, I keep hearing things."

I lean forward a little, lowering my voice. "Have you been to the boat lately? The Were community is pretty alive with chatter right now. Something about a cat that got roasted by a horse, as crazy as that sounds. I don't know where he's from but I hope they don't plan on keeping his ashes on display at the fighting ring or something. That would be pretty morbid, right?" I crack a small smirk, hoping to at least make her smile.
