I will
in spite of the ache
Henry seemed satisfied that at least he knew of a witch who owned a shop, a shop that might unlock some truths about whether or not the arrows were in fact dipped and whether or not they would be harmful to his bird...a bird he could only assume was his familiar. He had so many questions that he wanted to ask, but now wasn't the time. He wanted so badly to tell Sterling of just how much he loved him, that he missed him. And yet, he coudlnt' say it.
At Sterling's thanks, Henry shrugged lightly. "It's no problem. I'm glad you're both alright." If Henry was right and Fiducia was his familiar, then if she died, he would die as well. It was a thought that Henry didn't like at all. Just the idea of losing Sterling forever was enough to make his breath catch in his throat.
Henry was quick to finish washing the dishes and throwing the towel in the hamper. Once the apartment was as clean as it was when he found it (and let's be honest, Henry cleaning is a BIG deal), he moved towards the door. "Thanks again for the clothes." Sure, they were some of his clothes, but at least Sterling had kept them. Maybe there was a little bit of hope there.
Deciding that he had probably overstayed his welcome, Henry began to move towards the front door. He hand his hand on the doorknob as he turned to look behind him at Sterling. "Sterling...I mi..." "I miss you" was not what Sterling wanted to hear. Henry wanted so desperately to pay penance for his sins and be welcome back. But that wouldn't happen. Sterling seemed like he hated him in his very core. If only they could forget the past, maybe they would have a chance. Henry didn't want this to be the last time he saw Sterling, but something in the pit of his stomach told him it was probably his last...unless something changed and Sterling let him try to be a good boyfriend again.
