Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Residences

Samantha was absolutely positive that she looked as out of place in the building as she felt. The industrial apartment certainly matched the theme of the Western part of Sacrosanct, though it was clear that this was one of the higher end buildings. Even with the faerie girl's new income from her promotion, the building was not one she'd be able to manage and properly feed and cloth them â€" as it turned out, Dorian tended to eat like a teenager. She was sure that Aiden had written the address wrong â€" there was no reason that seemed logical that he would have brought her here. Part of her wanted to stop and phone her boyfriend to see where he was, but yet the curiosity had her climbing up the stairs until she found the apartment indicated on the slip of paper that Aiden had left her. Even as she knocked on the door, she was sure that it was the wrong place entirely.

But no, there he was. The door slid open and there stood Aiden. The faerie seemed to light up at the sight of the Alpha male in front of her, her arms instantly moving to wrap around his chest in a gentle hug. Still, she didn't ignore the gesture, planting a kiss on his cheek as she moved around him and into the apartment. Her gaze filled with confusion as she looked around the space. It wasn't Aiden's style in the slightest. She'd seen his bedroom, the way that it was done up. No, this place was decidedly more her own style. It was the kind of place she dreamed of living within, but had known that that would never be a luxury afforded to her. There was a real couch â€" not a torn, lumpy futon â€" and a real table and a kitchen with more than one counter. There were real hardwood floors and it looked clean and God, what were they doing here?

She turned around, watching the way her boyfriend shut the door behind them. It was that awkward way that he moved that caused the girl to tilt her head in confusion. But it was that nervousness that erupted in him â€" and her in turn â€" that seemed to baffle her the most. She moved, closing the distance between them. Samantha placed her hands on Aiden's shoulders, watching until his gaze met hers. "You're nervous," She commented lightly, tilting her head. "Why?" It was nearly immediately answered when the sheepish boy asked her own opinion on the place.

Oh, oh. Was this? Did he? No, he couldn't have. But there was no way to explain this otherwise. And he had said he'd get her a new table and a new bed and... and he'd admitted that her apartment wasn't in the best location. But oh, oh this was so much... and so perfect.

The nervousness and the sheepishness of the boy seemed to add up in that moment, and while the gift was certainly extravagant â€" one that Samantha would have a hard time accepting if it truly was for her â€" she allowed the smile to erupt in her face. "Aiden... Aiden, this... it's beautiful. Really, it's so stylish and modern and..." Her thumb moved gently to stoke the side of his cheek before she pressed herself up once more to kiss him. "Is it...?" The girl couldn't finish her sentence, too nervous to vocalize the question in case she was terribly wrong in her judgment. And if she wasn't, she was entirely willing and ready to pull him to the couch and show him how grateful she truly was.
