Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The anger she was feeling deep inside did not quell as she felt Serafina's cool hands gently stroke the ebony fur along her cheeks. Slate eyes briefly moved from the mentor towards the Witch she was willing to protect, even though she did not know the woman well enough to even risk her own life, or the young woman's name. Though there was an invisible connection that bonded the two together with blood, even though she was unaware that this ritual went on, Raven could not understand just why she felt so drawn to be protective of the woman. Ever since the night she had helped Serafina get away from the blonde Dark Hunter she had found herself coming around the house watching the girl from afar. Tonight even, she had no reason to come this way and yet here she was standing on her yard wishing nothing more than to keep her safe, regardless if she personally knew her or not. It was a natural need. There was only one reason why she could think that she would be here standing at this moment was due to her own personal past history of abuse. No one protected her. No one kept her from harm, and perhaps this might be simply because, she saw a small part of herself within Serafina. The idea that she could be bound to the woman was unfathomable.
When Serafina's fingers touched the deep groves of her scars against her cheek, her head would tilt to the side as a very soft whimper came from the gigantic lupine. A long pink tongue poked out from the side of her muzzle as she gently licked the girl in a comforting manner. Grey trimmed ears twitched when she heard the soft exhale come from her mentor's nose. Turning her head away from Serafina, she would move forward in a protective manner. Black lips pulled back to show off those sharp ivories, as if to make him rethink his judgment. Her grey soaked hackles rose, ebony fur bristled as a thunderous growl rumbled in her chest when she noticed his hands moving upwards. Muscles coiled, tense, as she lowered her form to the ground reading to leap upon him. Yet as soon as she was about to pounce she felt something odd flare and burn inside her. Agonizing pain was all she could feel at this moment with her blood, feeling it move back and forth, side to side, in such an unnatural manner. Her heart raced unable to keep the blood flow steady. Underneath her hide and thick fur, the unnatural blood movement could be seen jerking about. A painful high pitched whine came from the lupine as she struggled to move, to get away, but she was locked in place.
Confused and frightened, slate eyes searched for Serafina's grey gaze wishing to know just what was happening to her. As her form began to lift above the ground, she wiggled her legs trying to regain some control, another high pitched whine came from the lupine, unable to howl still in this torment. Feeling her body start to fly backwards, her grey winged spine felt contact of the solid fence and it was no surprise with his force and her massive size that the fence would break. Heaving she stayed lying down feeling her blood start to slowly return to its original flow, her heart attempting to steady itself. Lifting her head slightly, she shuffled to her grey paws slowly shaking her head. Blue-grey eyes narrowed as she watched helplessly the male approach her, feeling weak in her back legs as she tried to steady her bruised self. Hearing Serafina shout for the male to leave her alone brought some satisfaction and a surge of renewal need to keep the girl protected, because in a way Serafina was trying in her own way. As his attention turned to the Witch, Raven would take this chance to charge at him jaws lowered as a ravaged snarl escaped her throat as soon as his arm moved to shove Serafina down. With one massive swipe of her grey paw she would make contact with his form, slam him into the side, hoping that he fell to the ground. Standing over Serafina, seething, her cold nose would poke the woman, wanting her to get up, slate eyes narrowed as she once again stood over the girl in a protective manner. Tonight there would be no slanging match, violent words were unnecessary at this point in time, action was.
I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
