Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
The faerie woman had proven time and time again that she could be trusted around the twins. Her interactions with them nearly as natural as Nadya's own so there was no hesitation or fear in Nadya to take them with her to Sam's in that regard. She just hoped it wouldn't dampen whatever plans the blonde had on her mind. At least those worries were quickly put at ease the moment the door opened and Sam's look of confusion and surprise turned to utter delight. Nadya smiled, watching in silence as Sam hurriedly plucked Izzy from the stroller to love on her. Izzy giggled gleefully, wiggling and snuggling up against Sam as her familiar caregiver held her.
Nadya pushed the stroller over the threshold of the apartment, nudging the door shut with her foot behind her before following Sam into the living room. "They're still living with them." She bent over to unclip Micah and lift him out of the stroller, handing him over easily into Sam's waiting arms once she placed Izzy down. "Aiden...we're trying...he is adamant that the twins can live in the Ark. I'm trying...baby-proofing is proving...difficult. It's a lot to do. I have Izzy and Micah on the weekends for now...a trial." It was hard to explain the discussion that she had had with her brother concerning the twins living in the Ark. She wanted desperately to have her children, her brother....and her happy ending. It seemed she would have to give up something in the end. Those thoughts had to be quickly pushed down so she wouldn't dwell on them right now.
Instead Nadya set aside the playpen and set out the twin's diaper bag chock full of toys on the rug beside them before folding her legs to sit cross-legged on the floor as well. "You've been practicing." A bitter sweet sting tugged at her heart seeing the bubbles that Sam flourished, immediately gathering the twin's attention, as it reminded her of another certain blonde's action to entertain them. Nadya's smiled tightened as she quickly averted her gaze and picked absently at the edge of the rug. "What was it you wanted to do anyways? You made it sound so urgent and were all secretive on the phone." Her attention returned to the fae once she felt her emotions were under control again.
It was in enough time to see Izzy lean forward, bracing her hands on the rug in order to fidget to bring her feet under her and haul herself up onto her feet, toddling after the bubbles that were escaping out of her reach. "And off she goes." Nadya sighed softly with a simper as she carefully watched Izzy attempt to chase the wayward bubble. "As you can see, they've learned to walk...not as easy to keep both of them together now. Which reminds me..." Her gaze flickered between the toddler and the blonde. "I know it's more work...but would you babysit them? On the nights I need to go into the burlesque I don't have anyone else to watch them and they're too big to contain in my office now." Nadya felt guilty about having to ask Sam to watch the twins on nights she would have off.
