The forest was alive with life today. She kept seeing squirrels playing in the trees and birds flitting from one area to another on the ground. The seasons were changing and activity was mounting. She hadn't seen another Were out here yet today but she knew that could change at any minute. Surely she wasn't the only one who liked to find solace in her animal form every once in a while. The full moon was great but she was still more comfortable in her Were form than in her human form. It just came more naturally to her. She didn't have to watch what she said or did in this world. She could just be. She saw a glimpse of what looked like foxes taking off into the woods. Her eyes lit up when she saw the pups, thinking of the coyote pups she used to play with in her old pack. But then her gaze grew sad as she remembered that she was no longer welcome with them and never would be again. She was part of a Were pack now and Frost was a good alpha, no matter what others said about him. Nadya was really nice too. She looked around when she smelled another Were but couldn't place it. Her brows furrowed in puzzlement as she called out and at first she heard nothing. She sighed, about to give it up as losing her mind when suddenly she heard a reply. Some said hi! She jumped a little and looked around again but still to no avail. Her nose twitching, she dropped the rabbit at her paws and wagged her tail. "Who are you? And WHERE are you? You must be a Were for me to talk to you. I don't recognize your scent." |
