South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Raziya laughed at Edie's comment, that same deep reverberation in his chest that Kato had, "He seems to have that effect on many." With that he led the couple to the other side of the gathering square in order to eat. With everyone being distracted getting their own portions and settling down around them it offered Kato that time to apologize to Edie for the lack of meat. The African flat bread and bean spread would do for now but he was determined to catch a rabbit or something in the morning. Edie's forward affection towards Kato earned a few sideways looks from some of the herdmates. Public display of affection between couples wasn't often seen in their culture. Kato once more didn't pay them any mind as his attention was on his brother who settled across from him with his nephews on the ground munching away.

"You have to tell us all about where you went, Nnake. Did you see the sea of sand I told you about?" Raziya's own attention diverted at the appearance of a woman who joined them. A smile broke his features, "There is my mokgotsake." He rose to take her hand, helping her around the people who were seated on the ground in order to take her place beside him on the bench. The woman perched herself on the bench, bare-chested with a young infant latched onto one breast who she cradled in one arm. "Alla gave us a daughter." Raziya beamed proudly to which Kato smiled in return to his brother. "She is beautiful Raziya, like her mother." His brother reached forward to slap Kato's knee in excited jest, "You missed her birth but her naming ceremony is this full moon. You should be the one to name her."

For a moment Kato froze in disbelief before he nodded, "I would be honored." He had lost track of the days and forgotten that the full moon was so near. Kato briefly placed his hand on Edie's knee in reassurance with a nod, acknowledging her words. "It seems like just yesterday that we were all sitting here rejoicing your return from traveling. It's been a long day few days of traveling back here and we need some rest before all the story telling. Is there a hut we can use for the night?" "Yes, yes, you can take Apa's hut. He went to get supplies with his brother from the market and won't be back for a few days." While the two were talking, a few children had finished their meager meal and wandered over to investigate Edie, their small fingers brushing at her hair and her skin with giggles and awe. Kato absently shooed at the children but it was short-lived and rather futile as they didn't budge much before his attention was taken once more by a feminine voice sounded with a string of foreign language again.

Kato's attention quickly turned away from Edie and the attention she was receiving to a very proud woman joining the congregation. "Mme." He stood quickly to embrace his mother who smiled warmly at him. It was easy to hear in her tone, the lilting cooes that she was glad he was back, holding him at arms-length by the upper arms giving him a once over. It was then that her gaze flickered over his shoulder to the very white woman that had been sitting on the bench beside him. "Mang?" Kato glanced over his shoulder at his mother's question of who Edie was. "Mme, this is Edie." Kato stepped to the side in order to lead his mother the few steps further to introduce her to Edie. "She speaks English. Edie, this is my mother, Lana." "Dumela." She stated simply yet the edges of her tone were soft, "...that means hello." Lana glanced between Kato and the white woman before finally speaking again. "I didn't know there were other rhinos outside of Africa. You're quite lucky." His mother's words caused Kato to shift nervously which Raziya must have noted as he quickly popped up with a clap of his hands. "Plenty of time for the stories later; you two must go rest. Tonight we celebrate your return!" To which there was a cry of delight from the other herd members, especially the children, and a look of grateful relief from Kato at Edie's inquisition being postponed.
