i used to rule the world
seas would rise when i gave the word
Alexander was hardly surprised, really, as that quip so left the young girl's lips, the woman so eagerly reminding him that while that that linoleum underfoot was decidedly slippery in his current state, it was far more economical than anything else for a business purpose. "Yeah, yeah." He muttered, those smartly spoken words hardly helped to sooth his current mood. Though, he was hardly the type of man to take it out on her to point out such clear facts. Instead, the hunter made his way towards that bar, each step squeaking and squishing in a fashion he altogether abhorred. He reached for that towel, busying himself was drying off those dirty blond locks and the overly damped skin. He was fairly certain his fingers had pruned from mere
rain. The man said decidedly little of the young woman that so strove to clean after him - after all, such a demeanor what not only what he was used to but, in some regards, what the King
expected in some fashion. He
did pay her. "Thanks." He muttered all the same, altogether aware of those sounds of that bucket and mop. In all likelihood, Calliel had probably spent far too much time tonight
cleaning rather than at the bar. The cafe tended to be rather dead when the weather turned awful.
Such contemplations, however, were near ruined by the ground
shaking in a way it certainly should not have. His head rose, a quizzical glance given towards his barista whom only served to offer him a small shrug. Still - the fact that
she felt it too was reassuring in some regard. His gaze turned towards those windows with the intent to so survey the surrounding area of that cafe, his own instincts near screaming at him that
something was off. He hardly expected, however, to see the shape of a large
rhino out in that wet haze. It was near instant, that shift within him from that mere cafe owner to the conqueror of all of Asia. His stance was somehow tenser, his head held higher as he so regarded his enemy. In spite of that danger that so faced him, Alexander's first instinct was always those innocent bystanders that took sanctuary within his cafe. His order to see them cleared was little more than a simple utterance towards the woman at his side, the man reaching out in the process only for that much beloved spear to near materialize within his hand.
Those bright blue-green eyes remained steadfast upon the rhino, keenly watching the creature for even the slightest hint that he intended to
attack those patrons that were slowly moving from their place within the cafe. He could hear Calliel's voice as she so urged them onwards, not to mention the simple knowledge of that power at play. His own affinity was altogether keen to inform him absolutely
everything of it's nature, use, limitations and how she might further grow with it. Alexander said nothing of it, however, simply remaining as he was as those patrons ran past him and out into the pouring rain. The rhino's foot dug into that cement, sending small tremors with each thud and yet, he was surprisingly inclined to wait those few moments. It was only the sound of his young barista's voice that drew his gaze but slightly from his prey and yet, he regarded her with a small shrug. "The Council gave me incomplete information." He stated simply, altogether disliking that hint within her voice that he was somehow unproficient at this. Doubting the hunter in any regards was, perhaps, the most dangerous thing any soul could do. He had pillaged whole cities before, just to prove he
could.
"I will take care of him, you can stay here if you like." He continued on, moving towards the door and that sheet of rain that still poured with such a force. That spear was held confidently within his hand as he moved outside of that cafe, altogether caring not if his barista chose to assist him on this endeavor or not. Surely, it would have been easier upon the back of a horse and yet, regardless, that beast
would fall tonight. He stepped out towards that snorting, quivering Rhino, the man purposefully moving towards the center at that road to ensure the survivability of those surrounding buildings if the beast should charge. He could easily detect the sheer anger that ran through the Rhino's every fiber and yet, the man merely regarded the whole situation as if this was little more than an everyday happenstance.
