East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She coudn't begin to understand what he must have been feeling after whatever happened between him and his boyfriend but she wasn't about to ask about it and make him relive it. It already seemed to be torturing him and she didn't even know the specifics. Instead she wanted him to move past it and be happily in love again because she wanted him happy. She gave him a soft smile, not knowing what words to offer this time. She squeezed his hand and was happy for the small smile he offered in turn. It wasn't much but it was something. She had a feeling Henry would always mean something to her. He was there for her in the first traumatic stages of her life as a Were and now she could be there for him, at least as much as he would let her.

She let him know that the wine was okay and he chuckled as he took a sip. When he asked about her pack, she could tell he genuinely cared and it made her squirm in her seat a little. It was still hard getting used to others caring about her more than for their own motivation. She was adjusting but it took some time. She wanted to assure him that he would never have a reason to stop talking to her so she told him what Tetradore and Frost himself had told her, that they'd come together in a truce and would no longer be at each other's throats. She could tell Henry didn't know but he didn't seem that convinced either. She nodded. "Yep, I heard it from both the horses' mouths....well, in this case, the horse and the panther." She smirked at her own joke.

As if on cue, the waitress brougtht over their salads, placing it before her. She wrinkled her nose and smelled it. "Speaking of horses..." She murmured and reluctantly stabbed at it with her fork. She glanced up to watch how Henry put the dressing on his, doing the same before she took a bite. She chewed on it experimentally before swallowing and the glimmer of smile pulled at her lips. "Actually not too bad. Guess I'll have to quit giving Frost such a hard time." She smirked and took another bite.
