East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She couldn't believe that she found something she'd done that he'd never done before, besides shifting in front of other people, apparently. It always seemed like everyone else around her was so much more experienced in this human world and she always felt so far behind. And now she had something to show him. She couldn't wait! The arcade was so much fun to her. When she wasn't in the mood to dance or hunt, playing video games really helped her focus and let off some steam. He was mostly silent as they walked and she was really trying to give him that silence. He looked thoughtful, almost as broody as Tetradore. She would have liked nothing more than to chat all the way there but he seemed to have a lot on his mind so she was trying to be understanding and let him have his space, at least till they made it to the arcade. She kept stealing glances at him as they walked. She couldn't help it. The idea that he may have never seen a naked body besides his own or possibly his family....it baffled her.

At least he was open to being around her once they'd already shifted. She mentioned meeting up at a full moon and he said that he was usually around the beach. She grinned. "It's a date." She didn't mean literally, of course. She heard it a lot in movies and it was fun to say so why not? She knew there wasn't going to be a whole lot to hunt on the beach but maybe they could find something else to do. Play in the surf, roll in the sand, or something. His beliefs were so different from her own but she was trying to be understanding. He looked surprised when she said she didn't like wearing clothes. He was probably raised in them, whereas she only had her fur for years. Maybe it's a good thing she didn't run into him when she shifted for the first time. He wouldn't have known what to do with her. This was one of those moments when she was grateful she found Henry instead. Or rather, he found her.

She couldn't help but tease him about his sneaky glances at her when she was changing. She was sure if she looked hard enough, he'd probably be blushing but she wasn't going to scrutinize him for that. He tried to murmur that he was trying to look away but she kept moving into his line of sight. She snickered and rolled her eyes. "Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night, Ashton." She smirked, her eyes dancing with humor. She hoped she wouldn't offend him or push him away by teasing. She didn't get to think on it long thought before they got to the arcade. She went over all the games and scowled as he chose a pinball machine of all things to start with. Furrowing her brows, she stood by as he played, watching but not really understanding. It seemed to be all about pushing a button at the right moment to hit the ball in certain holes in the board. But then, she'd seen other games in here about pushing buttons and hitting balls. Maybe that's what he liked to do.

When the game was over, he told her it was fun and she smiled back and shrugged. "If you say so. I don't really get those games. But if you want, there's another game like that over here. Just instead of pushing buttons, you move sticks." She walked him over to a foosball table and stood on one side, lifting a brow at him as she leaned over the table. "What do you say? Think you can beat me?" She'd watch some kids play it for a little while before so she figured she kinda got the jist of it. "I think you just smack the ball with the wooden pieces until it goes in the other player's hole." She pointed to the holes at the ends of the table.
