The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
An audible sigh left Chizue's lips as she leaned against the bartop, her chin resting upon the palm of her hand. This was so boring. God, why did she even stay, she hated being a waitress and it wasn't like she got any special perks, being a part of the owner's coven. Nor was it really like the coven did anything at all. In fact, Chizue had decided that the whole thing was just so incredibly stupid. Why was she sticking around? Why was she staying with her coven or even living in Isolt's old townhouse? It wasn't as if she didn't have money. She did. Pilfered away in a bank account that was relatively untouched. Somewhere, in the back of Chizue's mind, she was vaguely aware that the teenage boy she'd consumed on a few days prior was surely influencing her train of thought, what with his reckless nature and naive youth. Still, her life had been rather stagnant of late and the young girl had always fallen prey to the whims of her ever changing moods. This just the latest bad decision in a series of bad decisions that had led the girl to this very point in her life. Maybe, when his hasty demeanor slipped from her psyche, she might regret those decisions she'd made but, for now, his desire for change saw the girl pluck her cell phone from her pocket and text the small vampire child she'd met several days prior, the young woman accepting that offer to join her in re-establishing Anna-Marie's estates.
She turned, her back leaning against the edge of the bar as her fingers moved deftly against the screen of her cellphone. She was hardly attentive to the man who wandered in from outside, nor the hostess that led him towards a booth in the corner, away from the families up front. "Chizue." The feminine voice drew her gaze upward and over her shoulder at the hostess standing expectantly on the other side of the bar. "I seated someone at table 7, okay?" The young girl informed her and half heartedly, the asian vampire's shoulder rose in a shrug. "Yeah, whatever." She commented with a roll of her eyes, her gaze turning back towards the screen in front of her. The staff of Red on the Water had quickly discovered the shift in the usually demure woman. Her recent attitude had become the talk of the whispered gossip in the restaurant. Where she had so usually shied away, or accepted the demands of her coworkers, was now met with sass and a profusion of eyerolls. She tucked her phone back in her pocket before making her way around the counter and towards the table in question.
He was facing away from her, the back of his head hardly enough to jog her memory. Rather, she focused on the task at hand, pausing to fetch a set of silverware and a glass of water before she made her way to the side of his table. She placed the glass in front of him, the silverware following soon after only for the girl to glance upward. "Welco -- " The very words were stolen from her lips at the stark realization that she knew the man at her table. She remembered him with perfect clarity, even though it had been years. How could she possibly forget him? He was the only man who had ever tried to save her from...from them. Chizue swallowed as she stepped back, her very startled realization that she was facing the were-bear forced back that persona she had borrowed for a brief moment, bringing back that almost shy woman as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Um...hi. Can I get you something to eat? The Irish stew is supposed to be like...really good. I mean, not that I've had it yet. I mean I can eat but I just...you know...don't...much...but everyone else really seems to love that and the shepherd's pie and I forgot to get your drink order, oh my god, I'm sorry. Do you want something besides water to drink? Oh and menu, duh." How easily that ruffled teenage persona smoothly slid back into place the more she talked, prompting the girl to speak more than she ever might on her own. She placed the menu down in front of him before expectantly glancing back up, those chocolate eyes so keenly watching his every move before she realized that...maybe...he might not remember her. And God, how crushing of a thought that was.
