The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy
If the feline would have left in the middle of the night, Samantha would have hardly noticed. The young faerie hardly moved in the night, only squirming slightly as a nightmare about the night's events plagued her dreams. Still, even that wasn't enough to rouse her. In fact, the only thing that bothered the sleeping girl was the sound of her bathroom door shutting in the dim light of the sunrise. Samantha had been forced awake by the noise, and immediately she'd sat up and felt as though her heart was pounding through her chest. For a moment, she couldn't understand what had caused the noise. All memories of the night before seemed to fail her, until suddenly the clarity of the throbbing iron burn on her arm brought everything back. "Aiden?" The girl said quietly, listening for the sounds of something happening in her bathroom. The silence was enough to alert the girl, and she sat still until she heard the sounds of her shower before it felt as though she was able to let out a breath and relax.
"I suppose I did offer you breakfast," The young girl said to herself as she forced herself to throw the covers off herself. Her body was aching for more sleep, and perhaps when everything was said and done she'd crawl back into bed to let her body heal. But for now, the young girl merely pulled her jeans back on and padded her away into the kitchen. Samantha listened to the sound of the shower through the thin walls as she worked in the kitchen, creating a breakfast for the feline of pancakes and eggs. It wasn't terribly long before she heard the sound of the water turning off. Still, it was awhile before she heard any movement out of the bathroom. She'd nearly finished the pancakes when she heard the sound of the door opening.
"Good morning! I hope you're hungry," Samantha said cheerfully, not turning around to look at the feline. She pulled the last pancake off the skillet before she finally turned. "I made... pancakes..." The young faerie's voice trailed off at the sight of not the feline she was expecting, but the man that stood before her. She'd grown accustomed to the sight of the jungle cat that she'd nearly forgotten that he was, after all, human. She cleared her throat, trying to keep her eyes up and on the man's face - though she definitely wanted to let her eyes drift downward. "You shifted," She said, her cheeks turning a scarlet shade of red. "Nadya had led me to not expect that."
