Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she grabbed the man in the aisle, tugging him behind her as she insisted in fluent french the need to run. Kit seemed...surprised to see her, though the ballerina could hardly fault him. Their last meeting had been equally of a chance encounter, one that she had never anticipated in a thousand years to be replicated. The question upon his lips caused her to glance over her shoulder behind them, just as he too seemed to notice the impending threat as the shelf beside them seemed to wobble precariously. The vampire was so clearly trying to trap her beneath metal and...a multitude of strollers? Thankfully, it was enough for Kit to jump into action behind her, the man so quickly catching up with her as the pair darted down aisles that tumbled like dominios. The almost good natured sound to the man's voice behind her brought a soft scoff to the French woman's lips as her head shook,
It was the sound of a thud that caused Audette to turn to look over her shoulder again, only to spy Kit chucking books at the undead fledgling. The very sight of it caused the barest glimpse of a simper across her features. Maybe...just maybe that'd be enough to distract the vampire, at least for a little bit. She hardly missed Kit running nearly face first into a bookshelf, the man hardly watching where he was going before, quickly, he righted his path, only to grab her arm and pull her towards an emergency exit. The pair burst through the back door mere moments later before it slammed behind them, allowing them a brief moment to breathe. And breathe she did, the French woman leant against the wall, her hands resting upon her knees as she focused on catching her breath. It was the man's inquiry beside her, however, that caused her to glance up before she gestured slightly towards her knee and the large bandage - a dark red stain visible behind the beige bandage.
