Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
It peeved the assassin that the man was the perfect face of composed and calm where her heart thundered in her chest. She cursed her pale skin for how easily it changed colors on her. Why she was so affected by this man she could not understand, perhaps it was simply because he desired her and didn't want anything from her. It was not lost on her as she watched him gaze at her lips longer than appropriate and by the gods she wanted to claim those tender lips and pull him back into the apartment. Vhalla wasn't sure Sam would appreciate that, nor would the assassin take it any farther.
The witch had never had any desire for a man to touch her but the soft touches from Will set Vhal burning, her toes curling in delight at the placements of his hands. She truly had to move away from him to knock some sense into her skull. As she pulls away she tucks away the small tidbit of information on colors hoping she can put it to good use in the future. Pausing mid thought she scolds herself fiercely not understanding why she would care what his favorite color was.
Offering a small smile that tugs at the corner of her plump lips as he comes striding up next to her she's startled by the hand he wraps around her waist and pulls her close to him. Stiffening slightly under his touch, she forces herself to relax. Will seemed content to leave his hand at her waist and not travel along her body. Uncertain as to what to do with her own hands she clasps them in front of her, steadying them so not to wring them. Feeling the brush of his lips against her head, Vhal glances up at him her eyes immediately drawing to his lips again.
Darting a tongue out to wet her bottom lip she looks away quickly as she feels his body shake with laughter. When she asks where they are going and he begins to reply she lets that icy gaze of hers travel up to his face once again, surprised to see his own blush spanning across his features. Grinning broadly at him she's struck again by how handsome he was. She suddenly decided she rather liked this bashful William. Halting them in their stroll she moves to the curb and flags down the nearest taxi, letting her hand drop to Will's and wrapping his fingers in her slender hand.
Turning back to him she takes advantage of the sudden stop and steps into him pressing a rather gentle kiss to his lips, letting a hand reach up to tug on a lock of his hair again. Smiling into his mouth she pulls away just as the taxi pulls up to the curb, "I'll admit, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it," she shrugs at him apologetically. Taking his hand again she pulls him into the taxi behind her, careful to keep her skirt down around her rump, though it rides up just enough to reveal the sheath on her thigh.
"How about I introduce you to modern dating then, you old man," she laughs lightly, offering a wink to the British man. Calling up to the taxi driver, she gives him an address and then they were off, "I suppose you can wine and dine me and then we could have some... friendly competition after dinner," she smiles at him, placing her hands in her lap, crossing a slender and well-toned leg over the other. It isn't long before they arrive at the destination, a rather crowded street with a small line outside of a small club. "I hope you know I'm a rather expensive date," she purrs at him, "William," she lets his name roll off her tongue, her voice dropping an octave, using his name for the first time.
Waiting for him to pay, she slides across the seat and pulls him out of the door and towards the bouncer. Recognition is immediate in the bouncer's eyes and he gives a small nod to the assassin as he allows them to pass through the line. Entering through the door they are immediately overwhelmed with the moving bodies of the dancers and the music blaring in the speakers. Firmly grasping Will's hand, she drags him through the crowd to a door in the back, pushing through the door into a cozy room, she closes it behind her, blocking out the music.
It feels almost oddly silent after all the noise but she finds comfort in it. Releasing his hand, she prowls towards to one of the tables shoved up in the corner and stands next to it before turning to him, "I hope you're hungry because I'm famished," she grins at him. "I know the cook here, she's amazing. Not many people know about the hole in the wall here. It's my favorite place and I find it cozy and rather... private," she trails off, realizing they would most likely be the only customers dining tonight.
