Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington
I thought you knew I was filthy rich
I thought you knew I never answer my phone
I thought you knew I was a late night with a bad bite I thought you knew.
The vampire was capable of carrying a tune when it was required of him. He could sing in pitch and match a melody but doing so with the playing of those ivory keys took far more concentration than he wanted to devote to that song. No, that sweet moment was more meant for that sharing of those feelings he had for the fae King with him alone. He wanted his focus to be upon his boyfriend, not words he hadn't written to a song that required his own emotions to be played properly. Besides, he didn't have enough time to excell at that piece with words and still meet that self-scheduled performance date. He easily waved off that offer with a small flick of his wrist, altogether hoping his companion wouldn't take any offense to his rejection of that offer. After all, he had gotten exactly what he had came here for. The song was near perfect as it was and those emotions he invoked within Arlo seemed just as perfect. He was certain that it was impossible to make it any better. What he didn't expect, however, was that suggestion to hear the song for himself. It was an altogether unexpected offer and yet, Arlo's admittance that he couldn't play nearly as well as Sebastian himself almost made the man weary of agreeing.
That sudden moving of those keys upon their own was equally as astonishing. In fact, the vampire was almost too caught off guard by that simple action to appreciate his own meticulously crafted song. His lips parted ever so slightly in awe of that display of power before he truly began listening to those notes that were played with such a delicate sort of sweetness. It was only once those notes had softly died out in a sign of completion that he leaned forward to get a closer glance at those keys, his fingers brushed against the surface of them experimentally, as if he hardly trusted the keyboard any longer now that it had displayed such an otherworldly ability. He was rather certain that he hadn't purchased a keyboard with that feature. That soft chuckle that left Arlo's lips momentarily captured his attention as he glanced up at that boyish grin upon Arlo's features. His eyebrows slowly rose at the explanation of that power, the man clearly considering it for several moments. "You can....control technology? So...you could...fly a plane? Turn off a car? Take over...vacuum cleaners?" It was near baffling really, that ability to control technology and yet, the sheer application of it was...damn near astounding. He could rob a bank in five seconds flat, or an ATM for that matter. He could hack any database in the world, take over any security system, and here he was complaining because he had cardboard boxes to sit on?! Of course, the life of the lawless was hardly ideal but...if material wealth was Arlo's concern, his ability certainly gave him the world at his fingertips. "That is the best inheritance I've ever heard of." He commented in a clearly appraising tone.
His gaze turned back towards that keyboard and yet, with that mystery solved, it hardly held the same allure as it once did. Infact, Sebastian was almost eager to return home and hear that song upon his own beloved Grand Piano. Although those electronic keyboards did their best to mimic that sound, Sebastian still felt they paled in comparison to the true piano. His crystalline blue eyes fluttered only from the musical instrument and his internal thoughts at the sound of Arlo's voice. The man's assurance that he didn't love him was met with a simple smile and an effort to reassure the man that, not only was he fully aware of Arlo's lack of interest within him, but that he had little desire to share tonight with the world at large. That glance of near dubiousness upon Arlo's features at that promise only further amused the elder vampire though, why Arlo cared in the slightest over something so insignificant was certainly beyond him. Even so, he made the effort to remind the man that he had tried to forewarn him. "You've seen the things I can do and you still doubted me?" He inquired inquisitively at that confession that Arlo hadn't quite expected all of this. The vampire, it seemed, eternally tended to distrust Sebastian's capabilities. Not that he should have found such a thing terribly surprising he supposed. Still, he was almost sure his pride was wounded. Almost.
That soft sigh that left Arlo's lips drew an almost inquisitive glimpse from Sebastian's features, at least, until the vampire commented on how awful his own flirting attempts were. Sebastian could hardly help that laughter that left his lips as he agreed. Truly, he certainly had enough ammunition with that alone to tease the man near relentlessly, even without the utterance of those three words. His attempts to flirt were near atrocious. Enough so that Sebastian found himself prompted to offer his own services in teaching the man how to do it properly if he ever found a woman he truly wished to entertain for longer than an evening. He could almost see the beginning of that argument forming upon Arlo's lips before he began to consider the better of it, his sentence changing to simply state he'd keep it in mind. Sebastian could hardly help that snort and yet, even so, a good natured simper crossed his features. "You do that." He responded with a near knowing look. It would come - sooner or later Arlo would find someone he did want to flirt with. After all, his thread was hardly the only one in that dingy apartment, his gaze briefly fluttered towards the window that the crimson thread led out of.
It was, however, that comment of Arlo's near need for a meal that reigned in those idle contemplations. A small shrug crossed his shoulders at that inquiry of where he was okay with being bitten. Rather, he offered the fellow free range of his physique in a fashion he was rather certain Arlo had never quite been offered before. He watched the way Arlo's gaze traveled over his figure, clearly considering that offer as the man's tongue swept over his lips in near anticipation of the meal. That hunger was almost plain as day, now that he bothered to look for it. He couldn't help but to wonder if he looked nearly as eager when Dorian offered himself to him. It almost made him uneasy, the knowledge that he was clearly the prey for once within his life and yet, even so, he hardly was worried enough to run. His fingers rose slowly to those top few buttons of his shirt as Arlo announced exactly where he intended to bite him, those actions only hesitating at that comment of Dorian 'freaking out' over him sporting bite marks on his neck. It was a curious thought, really. Dorian was so often the epitome of composed that Sebastian hadn't truly considered how the man might react to him returning home with another vampire's bite upon his neck. Did Arlo fear he might get jealous? Would he get jealous? In truth, Sebastian almost couldn't imagine the King under the sway of such an emotion. After all, Sebastian had returned to him after evenings of hunting smelling poignantly of other men and women and the King had never seemed particularly phased by such a thing. In fact, he was almost certain that his own possessiveness was far more of an issue within their relationship than any sort of like feelings from Dorian, if the Monarch was even capable of such emotions.
That brush of Arlo's finger against his neck had a fashion of sharply drawing his attention back to the present moment, that firm touch was almost unexpected as the vampire guided his neck in that position he wanted him within. Sebastian hardly argued, positioning himself in such a fashion that the skin of his neck was taut and those veins all the more visible. That soft tickling sensation of Arlo's lips against his skin brought a shudder to his spine, that flesh so incredibly sensitive to the smallest of touches. He was well aware of that near firm grasp of Arlo's hand upon his shoulder and yet, the vampire was more than capable of following those instructions to remain perfectly still. He knew those fangs were coming before they did, he could feel the way Arlo's lips parted and yet, that simple plunge of teeth into flesh still elicited the same reaction from the vampire. A soft gasp followed by a groan left his lips as those teeth penetrated that vein, that blood poured forth and into Arlo's mouth. That venom was delivered just as swiftly to his system, his body near relaxed into Arlo's own as those quiet moans left his lips. Arlo had truly no idea how utterly arousing such a thing was for him and yet, for once, sex was not wholly the only thing upon his mind. Rather, his world had become a state of utter tranquility - of sheer perfection.
That brush of Arlo's tongue against his neck moments later caused a shudder to fill his frame and slowly, his head rolled back to look up at the man as Arlo slowly stood. He watched as the man's gaze fluttered close for a moment, only to reopen with words of how utterly delicious Sebastian was. The vampire decided easily in that moment that he quite liked being delicious. However, this decision was quickly followed by that sudden desire for closeness. He wanted to be held, to cuddle and snuggle in ways that the vampire so rarely did. It simply felt like it would be a nice thing but...Arlo was all....anti boyness. Why couldn't Arlo be Dorian? Why couldn't Dorian be one to bite him and curl up with him on the sofa? Wouldn't that have been nice? But noooo, Arlo said he wasn't allowed to go home. A small huff left his lips as he leaned back into that firm hand, even if Arlo's grip wouldn't truly let him go anywhere, he still had to try. He felt like a fish out of water. What a peculiar feeling that would be...wouldn't it? God, life was wonderful.
