Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
I know some things should just stay broken
i'm well aware this should remain unspoken
How Sterling wished his childhood had consisted of such concerns like the way his sandwiches were cut! Those darker days were ones the Warlock was often prone to simply choose to forget. That quizzical look upon his ex's features hardly went unnoticed by the blue-eyed boy. His shoulders lifted in a vague shrug as he took the offered sandwich. "When I was a kid I survived off peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I made." Sterling commented with weak simper. His gaze turned down towards those small pieces of cheesy bread as he made his way around the central island to set the plate down at the bar. From his periphery, he could see Henry's dropping the towel wrapped around his waist, the very movement immediately caused his gaze to dart to the plate in front of him as he picked up the first small triangle. Sterling nibbled on the edge of it as he glanced over towards the window, altogether aware of Henry's bare skin mere feet away from him. He said little of it, however, as Henry fitted the underwear and pants around his hips and pulled his shirt over his broad shoulders - the man's reflection clear within the window panes that Sterling stared at in some failed attempt to give Henry some kind of privacy.
The soft rumble of Henry's voice drew Sterling's bright blue eyes upward. His head shook ever so slightly at his ex's inquiry - unlike Fiducia, Sterling had survived the encounter with the Dark Hunters with very little incident, minus the bruises that had formed upon his torso thanks to being thrown at the force of the explosion. He lifted his shirt up briefly, showcasing the purple marks upon his ribs. The very sight of them, however, caused Henry's head to shake. His ex's offer to heal them was brushed aside, though Sterling hardly made an effort to fight against Henry's insistence. Instead, he simply watched as the Were made his way around the bar, only to hold his hands over those colorful bruises. His gift for healing so easily saw those marks melt away again to pristine, perfect flesh. "Thanks." Sterling spoke as his fingers brushed over his now healed flesh. The bruises had hardly hurt much but...this was certainly more convenient, he supposed. He dropped the material around his shirt as he reached for another piece of the sandwich Henry had made him, only for Fiducia's soft chirp to draw his attention back towards his bird.
Sterling hadn't considered, prior to that moment, the possibility that Fiducia might have been poisoned. A look of concern immediately crossed his features as Henry shrugged almost nonchalantly. It was, he supposed, only sensible that their poison might have affected her, and his own magical affinity in turn. His brows furrowed as he glanced up at Henry, only to inquire what Henry thought he should do. Another shrug crossed Henry's shoulders as his ex inquired after a coven. Sterling's head shook ever so slightly as a soft breath left his lips. "No...there's a witch who owns this little store a few blocks away though...maybe I can ask her in the morning..." His voice trailed off as he reached up to gingerly pinch the bridge of his nose. This was...so not how he was expecting his evening to go. "Thank you...again, Henry." He added after a moment, altogether aware that things tonight could have played out entirely different if Henry hadn't been there.
