Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The stars in their orbits

In Nadya's current agitated state from the forced shift she was very capable of striking at the security guards that approached. All her muscles tensed in preparation for just that even though she didn't budge from her place pressed against Sam's side. It was hard to tell in that moment who exactly was protecting who seeing as the feline's mind had the guards under the category of threat. However, they were spared of knowing just how volatile a panther could be by Sam taking the reins on the situation and calling them off. Sam's gentle touch to guide Nadya to leave was met with hesitation, narrowed golden gaze still locked on the men as the tip of her tail twitched. A moment passed in her eyes where that primitive mind was overshadowed by human cognitive function. A disgruntled snort escaped from Nadya before she padded off after Sam to where they were parked.

She had never allowed anyone else to drive her care so that in itself caused pause. If they stayed though animal control was sure to show up demanding Nadya shift back, which she wasn't capable of right now, or go downtown with them to cool off. Nadya carefully leapt up into the passenger seat of her cat and settled down to sit with her tail curled around her rump and gaze set straight through the windshield. She made no sudden movements the entire ride to Sam's apartment, past experience telling her it was for everyone's safety when dealing with new or even rusty drivers. Once parked Nadya followed on Sam's heels into the small apartment...if you could even call it an apartment. The feline paused, slowly casting her gaze over the room that her employee called home. It made Nadya cringe internally at the lack of basic necessities of which included a dresser. Her ears twitched in alertness as she crept past Sam to investigate the boxes. Curiosity was a cat's largest downfall of course.

Nadya nosed at the cardboard inquisitively, pawing out a few of the clothes to hang over the rim. She had been so absorbed in dragging out all the clothes that a movement from the corner of her eye startled her. Or at least she thought she saw something scurry across the baseboards. The feline was decidedly done with the disshelved apartment and hightailed in her spooked state away from the boxes and straight for the table. It was really just a means to get up higher; high places simply something felines sought out naturally.

The table of course looked like the perfect place. It was the highest point in that room and offered a vantage point...though over what was unsure. Her large form launched itself gracefully into the air towards the table. Nadya landed soundlessly onto the wooden top, her rough pink tongue snaking out to swipe across her lips in distaste at being chased off by even the thought of some vermin. As Nadya circled the table its legs began to wobble under her, obviously not meant to handle that much weight on top of it, as it quickly splintered and broke right out from under Nadya. Nadya yowled slightly as she scrambled away from the wreckage back over to Sam. A dissatisfied rumble began in her chest when she was back at Sam's side, brushing against Sam's legs in only the manner a housecat would, her tail held high and wrapping around the fae's legs. Nadya turned her golden gaze up at Sam, wondering exactly what it was Sam was expecting to accomplish with bringing them here.
