Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
Today was her first morning with the twins on one of the weekend visitations she and Aiden had discussed. It was both nerve-wracking and joyous to have them in her arms again. This was not an overnight venture during the fullmoon where the Ark was shut down but a first introductory look into how to manage them during the full swing of things. They had yet to baby-proof the Ark, the discussion of what exactly was needed throughout the Ark still a part of a heated debate. Nadya would take to every 90 degree angle in the Ark with a foam corner protector but Aiden was adamant to maintain some semblance of adult business to his ship. Luckily she still had several hours to debate on what to do with the twins before the Ark opened its doors for business tonight. The deck had been a wonderful arena while they were kittens but now they were very human and surrounded by very metal things. They needed to be wrapped in rubber before Nadya would let the twins run loose up there.
It was while Nadya was feeding the twins lunch when her phone went off with Sam's name printed across the screen. "Hello?" She expected the woman on the other end to be having trouble with some paperwork from the burlesque. Instead, she was surprised by the request to go over to her new place. 'I need your help with something' was all Nadya could get out of her. "Ok, fine, I'll be there in a bit." Nadya hung up and settled her gaze on the twins happily munching away. There was no way she was going to miss out on the small timeframe she had with them and there wasn't anyone in the Ark she could leave them with anyways. She may have found understanding with Jackal, her brother was family, Tobias their father, and Raven pack...but none of them would she leave the twins alone with. No, last time they were out of her sight and not with her parents then terrible things happened. It would take many more supervised times in order for Nadya to relent on that topic.
Once the twins were finished with their lunch she packed up their things and strapped them into the car seats. It was no easy task traveling with children- you were never on time for one thing. By the time Nadya's BMW slid up to the curb in front of Sam's new loft it had been over an hour since she had hung up with the fae woman. "Ok guys...try to be good, ok? Your Uncle Aiden would be upset if we broke her new place." Nadya spoke gently as she unloaded them into their stroller with their things stuffed below and playpen stuffed in its sling carrier over her shoulder. It was one thing for her to destroy Sam's old flat as that place had been better off, an excuse really for Aiden to set her up to move someplace better actually, but it wouldn't do any good to have the twins mess up the new place. She was still trying to keep Aiden accepting of them.
Nadya fidgeted outside Sam's door before knocking firmly. She knew Sam wouldn't be upset at her bringing the twins. The two had become quite close during the fae's time working at the burlesque, long before becoming a couple with her brother, and had worked together in caring for the twins whenever they had to join at the Cat's Meow. It was only a matter on if their presence was going to dampen whatever Sam had needed help doing. Obviously any of it had to be child friendly. Nadya offered a small smile when the door was finally opened. "Surprise?" Micah and Izzy looked up quizzically from their stroller to the woman in the doorway. It was Izzy, as she always was the first to things, that smiled her half-toothed smile in recognition of the blonde, "Ma'm!" It seemed they still had trouble pronouncing their S's.
