Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
There was no denying that Sebastian had held a myriad of lovers, the number ever increasing as his partners changed on a daily basis and yet, they had held no real meaning for the vampire. Each face was nearly as forgettable as the one before it - the names often just as muddied collections of syllables. And yet, despite the activities he engaged with in the presence of such individuals, his life was particularly solitary. There were few individuals that knew any real details of Sebastian's life, much less his thoughts or his demeanor beyond his abilities between the sheets. Unlike his companion, Sebastian had very little experience with any such declarations of love. The vampire often merely ceased to exist for those whom he had slept with and, as such, the number of times in which he had awoken to any warm figure at his side could be counted entirely on both hands. The prospect of nestling against Dorian's sleeping form was so utterly delightful that Sebastian refused to truly consider it a possibility if only because, quite simply, the rejection of it would be more then perhaps his heart might have been able to bare. It was, he was assured, a fantasy to remain entirely where it belonged, within the vampire's mind. It was this knowledge alone of what he was sure never would be that saw such flippant words leave his lips. After all, the daylight hours were far longer than those he was given, it was entirely improbable that his companion could sleep them all away in the fashion that he had little choice to.
The vampire's crystalline gaze shifted towards his companion, his eyebrows raising ever so slightly at the simper of amusement that so settled upon the features of the monarch at this notion. "A different sort?" He inquired, the vampire hardly even began to consider that Dorian might have any desire to engage in something as simple as merely continue to exist within his presence even when he was not able to entertain him. A quizzical look crossed the vampire's features and yet, he knew better than to ask after such a thing. Dorian was entirely able to keep any such hints to himself, it was a trait that Sebastian had long since come to terms with. As it was, however, for perhaps the first time, Sebastian had his own such wondrous promises to provide his companion, the vampire deciding that, perhaps, it was time for the first of such multitude of gifts. The cell phone itself was quickly unwrapped though he was altogether aware of that perhaps equally as befuddled glimpse upon the fae's features. He made no effort to hide the simper that crossed his own features, brushing off Dorian's admittance that he had little idea of what this mysterious lightweight block even was. He had, at least, anticipated this.
He waited as his companion pressed the indicated button, bringing the screen and the device to life. The vampire's crystalline gaze shifted towards his companion, noting with a warm smile the way the King's features so seemed to light up at the realization of something so entirely simple as such a bright light coming from such a useful hand-held device. The vampire pulled out his own twin to Dorian's phone, entirely aware that the fae's interest momentarily shifted to the presence of it and yet, Sebastian ensured that their task remained decidedly on point, instructing his companion to tap the icon at the bottom of the screen. Dorian's observation, however, was met with little more than a simple, "Mmhm." He directed his companion to his own name upon the device. The man's following inquiry saw Sebastian pause, considering the question before answering in terms that Dorian might understand. "No, it is not alive. I had put my name in it earlier, before I gave it to you. This cell phone, as it's called, stores any input that you put in it - though do not ask me how, it is...complicated. Anything you type into it though, it will keep for you, should you wish to add anyone else to it, it will keep their names as well."
Sebastian hardly lingered upon the technicalities of how and why the cell phone worked for long, instead letting his fingers move deftly over the screen as he tapped a simple 'hello' before pressing the button on the side. He waited for his own cellphone to light up, showing the screen to Dorian beside him. He knew, somehow, that Dorian would come to understand that which he was trying to convey to him. This was, perhaps, one aspect in which Sebastian would never doubt his companion. The fae might have been ignorant but to mistake that naivety for a lack of intelligence would have been entirely foolheartedly. His smile widened at the exclamation that left his lover's lips, the vampire chuckling as he nodded. "Yes, it is a letter sender." He watched in silence as his companion duplicated the series of actions, showing well he had understood the steps Sebastian had given him. He tilted his cell phone once again within Dorian's direction as the man's newest message once again flashed across the front of his phone, showing the fae he had done it well.
The vampire could hardly deny that he was entirely pleased that such a gift was so well received, Dorian's excitement entirely clear for him to ee and firmly Sebastian nodded in return. "Yes, they will always find me." He confirmed the words softly, his attention shifting towards his companion at the touch of the fae's fingertips upon his features. His eyes flickered closed at the touch of Dorian's lips upon his own and briefly, everything once again seemed entirely normal between them. Sebastian dropped the phone in his own lap, his hand reaching up to entangle within Dorian's own hair, gingerly tilting the man's head backwards only to further deepen that kiss, stealing another and another afterwards in an effort to assuage Dorian's concerns and perhaps bring them back to the way things had been before his abrupt departure. He was aware of the way the vehicle slowly came to a stop, his man servant clearing his throat after a moment if only to, politely, inform them that they had, at last, arrived to their destination. Slowly, the vampire's lips pulled back from his lover's, his lips still hovering just inches from Dorian's own. "It would seem we have arrived." He whispered softly and yet, he could hardly deny that simple desire to love on his companion.
Still, they would make no progress in their so finely crafted evening if Sebastian gave into those desires and so, slowly, the vampire turned his attention back towards his own adventure for the evening. He slid his cell phone back into his pocket, plucking the two remaining gifts from the floorboards before the door at his side opened. The vampire slid out rather effortlessly, glancing back as he waited for his companion to join him in front of the restaurant. Only once he was sure his companion was following him did he step into the altogether quiet building. The hostess at the front immediately snapped to attention, a warm smile placed upon her features as she noticed the pair, regardless of the rather late hour. "Good evening, Mr. Ellington. Please follow me, we have everything ready." She chirped brightly, stepping away from the podium to lead the way deeper into the restaurant.
