South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. I know life hasn't been easy for Isolt since she got turned. She won't let me in but I can still see the misery behind those pretty baby blues. She always seems tense and paranoid and I only want to take that feeling away from her, at least for a brief moment in time. I want to see what she was like when she was live. I want to see what she's like when she's really set free. I don't know why I feel this way. I haven't cared about what anyone else thought in a long ass time so why start now? But she awakens something inside of me, something long dormant. Something I thought I had lost and while I always thought I was better off without these...feelings, I'm reluctant to let go of them.

She relaxes into the walk that brings us to the grand surprise I have planned. It took all of five minutes to cook it up inside my head after our last encounter and I wanted it to be perfect. I found this place by pure accident while hunting one night and it stuck with me. After she left me, I knew it was perfect. The rest was making it up as I went along and there ya go. Perfect date night...well, could you call it that? This is only, what, our third time hanging out? But it already seems like I've known her for lifetimes. Maybe it's the way she opens up around me, but then I feel like I have so much more to learn about her. I know nothing about her human life. I don't even know a lot about her vampire life. She doesn't want to talk about it. Maybe it's still too fresh in her memory, too raw to delve into right now. That's okay.

She teases me in the darkness as we walk and I give her a wry smirk.

"Really old, huh? Well, let's hope he went to buy a cane after you left him."

She giggles and it echoes through the forest around us, lending a tinkling melody to the air. She smirks but it dies the moment we reach the clearing at the cliffside and then it's all suspense as I wait for her to react. She puts her hands to her mouth, her eyes widening like a child's as she whispers. The smile broadens across my lips as I watch her, entranced. I cross my arms and tilt my head, my eyes scorching as I look at her.

"From where I'm standing, it's breath taking."

I slowly cross the grass to her and stop right in front of her, searching her face delicately.

"Now close your eyes and open your pretty little mouth."

I murmur as I move to pull something from behind my back. Once she does so, I gently place the pastry on her tongue, leaving her to pull it into her mouth and bite down. Once she does, the warm blood will rush into her mouth like an explosion of goodness. The pastry keeps it warm from where I baked it and it doesn't taste all that bad for a shell, either. I give her a crooked smirk as she opens her eyes. My voice is soft.

"Not too bad for a last minute get away, hm?"
