East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Chizue's gaze lingered with a hesitant but none the less inquisitive manner on the man in front of her and too the game he had presented her with. Her participation, she had decided, depended entirely upon the answer he provided her. After all, she had walked into such a trap before. He had invited her for drinks once - before demanding she stay with him to further his empire. He'd left one night and simply failed to come back and so Chizue did in turn, falling back to her old life style without hardly anyone's notice whatsoever on her absence. Of course, the man in front of her hardly seemed quite the same caliber as the Dark Hunter whom had taken her for his own. Her chocolate gaze drifted momentarily over that aura she could see over his skin, utilizing the very thing she fed on to judge what little she could of his character. He looked mischievous - tinted with hints of oranges and yellows. He was confident, and...was that romantic? She couldn't quite tell but what she was certain of, and entirely familiar with, was that subtle flash of blue. Loneliness. He was a touch lonely. How a handsome man like him could somehow have even a shred of that blue she knew her own aura was so absorbed with in was certainly astonishing for the young girl and slowly, Chizue found herself relaxing with his presence, writing it off entirely as a product of the man's answer that she was allowed to leave on her own accord.

Her dark hued gaze turned back towards the cards at hand. In truth, Chizue rather enjoyed games. At least, the old fashioned kind like this. She was, however, a sharp girl. Somehow, she hardly suspected that was purely as much of a game of chance as he wanted her to believe. Nevertheless, Chizue's hand reached out to pluck a card from the top of the table, turning it over slowly before her lips pressed together ever so slightly in thought. His inquiry, however, hardly created any reaction within the young girl before she reached out once again, flipping the other card over to see the face of it too. For a moment, Chizue paused, bringing her slender finger to her lips in thought before she pulled her finger away to inquire with a simper tugging at the edge of her. "Was this like a magic trick?" She inquired, entirely unable to believe that he might be so easily willing to leave his fate up to chance on a card game. He seemed far too confident of himself for that - or maybe he was relying on such confidence to coerce her to stay if she did win anyways.

Regardless, the young girl slowly made her way around the bar, one final glance given towards her tables before she settled ever so neatly on the bar stool next to him. His question, however, entirely caught the girl off guard, her head tilting to the side ever so slightly as her eyebrows furrowed. "Of course I eat. Everyone eats, don't they? Do you eat?" At least, Chizue was sure everyone ate, I mean, even her kind ate something. Sometimes, she'd seen Isolt make pastries with a blood cream filling - not that they had ever appealed to the Asian vampire but it was still something eaten. Of course, Chizue didn't often eat this persay. After all, she'd never out of her home country till the last year. Isolt's "comfort food" was entirely still strange for her. She glanced briefly over the menu settled in front of the bar, biting her bottom lip ever so slightly in the process. "I...um..." She started, almost hesitant to even hint at her rather poor waitressing skills. "I...haven't really had what's on our menu but a lot of people order this and they always like it." She reached out, pointing at the 'Shepherd's Pie' and the description beneath that claimed it was a classic Irish dish. Her gaze briefly darted towards the man, searching perhaps for some sign that she'd either done well or that this was an acceptable choice.
