East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

A genuine laugh trickles from Samantha's features at the mention of the girls dancing, her head shaking softly as she took in his words. "You say that now, but you don't know them. And some of them aren't even that pretty," It was a tease, the young faerie queen rarely willing to show any true dislike of the girls. Samantha was kind to a fault, the woman entirely willing to trust anyone that she met. Her dislike of the faerie girls she worked with a true rarity indeed. "I doubt even that would make them worth talking to, if you ask me." She gave a shrug as she further explained why she worked at the burlesque, noting the way the man seemed to catch onto the slightest detail of her tale. She shook her head, running a hand through her hair. "No, you really don't understand. I can't dance at all. Such a good queen I am, how will I ever be able to hold court?"

Her gaze followed his to the boat, smiling softly as she looked at it. "It's big," She agreed, giving him a nod. "It's pretty impressive. Just don't touch the walls or the railings or... anything that isn't wooden, I suppose. It's all made of steel. Iron. I've burnt myself a few times." She still didn't take her gaze away from the boat. She always felt safer being near it, knowing that Aiden was within those walls not far away from her. She could easily get to him if she wanted, and perhaps the end of the night would end up with her curled up next to him in that lavish bed of him. The thought alone was enough to make her lips curl up into a smile as she slipped her shoes off and let her toes touch the soft sand that was still warm from the daylight hours. The vampires would start coming out soon to see the moonlight, but for now they were perfectly alone on the beach. It was that aloneness that had her questioning the man that she was with, asking about the monarchy that he would belong to.

"Is it terrible that I'm secretly glad you don't belong to them anymore, not really?" She flashed him that charming smile of hers, a laugh on her lips as she watched him pull his shoes off to put his own toes in the sand. "What are you..." She started, watching him walk into the water. She trailed off, biting her lip to suppress the grin that threatened to overtake her lips as she watched him. "You sure know how to entice a girl, don't you?" She teased, though she didn't hesitate as she tossed her phone, keys, and wallet into the sand with her shoes to follow him into the water. The ocean was cold, making her shiver as she reached out to take his hand. "Okay, but I warn you. I really, really can't dance." She said with a smile as she let herself step in closer to him.
