The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

that everything looked this blue through Sinatra's eyes. She blends in easily with the humans. Dressed tonight in a billowing black dress, her signature clunky boots and a tight-fitting leather coat. Her short, dark locks drift gently in the cool breeze. With each snap of the weather and the rustling of the tree limbs and leaves in its wake, goosebumps pimple her smooth appendages. She was always hyper-aware of the changes in nature and weather around her. Being a fae, and being a lone fae, her heightened awareness of her surroundings was really her only line of defense. It seems there were far too many creatures in this world that wanted too much of her. Eleanor is on the prowl tonight with no real intention to interact with anyone. It's been years since she's been in contact with another fae of her own lineage, or any fairy in general, for that matter. Sure, she was able to recognize her own kind in passing. They hum along down the street at a different beat than humans. They often travel in clusters, family groupings that honestly, made more sense than being alone. But Eleanor prefers it this way. She was, strangely, a creature of the evening hours, crawling out from within the depths of her messy loft, ink and charcoal stained her fingertips from hours of lazily doodling on scratch paper and canvases. She tip-toes mindlessly over the tall, cold and rough-edged ledge, her arms outstretch at both sides, much like the wings she'll never have, as she dances with light feet across the skinny path. It was entertaining enough -- for now. She could feel his eyes on her almost immediately. He came to her in the passing breeze. She froze, the hairs along the back of her neck standing in raw response to having been spotted. Before she had any real time to react or flee, he envelops her. She stood neatly atop the ledge, her legs straight-locked and tucked together as she feels him first at her ankles. He moves slowly up her frame from there, the nip of his breezy touch sending a chill down her spine. Fear consumes her, but she doesn't panic. Instead she disappears. Poof. Her cloak shields her, at least from his eyes, as her frame becomes translucent and mimics that of the buildings, trees and darkness around her. She can still feel him, as he creeps over her petite torso and up her back, but she is invisible. Whatever he is -- she can't decipher it just yet -- he won't be able to enjoy looking at her if he is to take her now. Her chest is rising in quick, shallow huffs. Her eyes reel back into tight slits upon registering his voice. She then leaps from her position on the wall, tumbling to the ground in a crouched position, her knees level with her neck and one hand digging into the cold earth below. Just before she is about to flee her cloak is unveiled. She'll tease him just this once before making her exit. "Goodbye, creep!" She squeaks, eyes wide as she tries to make out the linger cloud above the wall. Eleanor | Fairy | Vinyl |
