East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

As she walked, the only sign that the panther was following her through the shadows was the tiny waves of annoyance that kept rushing by her. If she hadn't been focused on the emotions of the creature, she was sure she would have missed it. Still, she made no effort to allow the feline to notice that she even truly cared if he followed her. It was at this point that she was glad that she was the one who could read emotions, because otherwise he would have noticed the way her heart seemed to pound in a way that wasn't just adrenaline from the evening's events. It was silly, she supposed, to enjoy the company of the creature who had never actually spoken to her. Still, he'd protected her and the life debt was something she felt she could at least repay by offering a cup of tea. She only turned back to look for him as she approached her building, and felt relieved to see the creature behind her. If she hadn't been focusing on him so intently, she might have missed the way he limped slightly on his left side where the arrow had struck him. She didn't think that Weres reacted the way she did to iron, but still, it had to be an annoyance. The poor thing had to be in pain.

"Aiden," She said softly as she held the door of her apartment building open for him to follow her "Quick, before anyone sees." She could only imagine what her neighbors might think of the girl if they saw her leading a jungle cat into her apartment. She nearly laughed out loud at the idea of it. She led him down the hall to her first floor apartment, unlocking the door and pushing the door open for him. The apartment was small, just a studio apartment with a separate bathroom. In the corner was a futon bed with a pile of blankets on it, but other than that the place was devoid of furniture. "It's not much," Samantha said, suddenly embarrassed by the place she called home. "But the rent is cheap and I can walk to work, I suppose."

She didn't wait for a response from the creature - it seemed unlikely she'd get one anyway - before she went over to the sink, filling up her kettle with water before placing it on the stove. "I hope you like tea. I don't really have anything else to offer, I'm afraid." She reached up, digging in the cabinet above the stove for the first aid kid she kept there. She hardly knew how to treat an iron injury, and she doubted there would be information inside the Red Cross first aid kit to inform her of that. "They should make a special first aid kit for newly turned supernaturals," She joked as she opened the box, pulling out bandaids and gauze as though they were foreign objects to her. "With informational packets such as 'how to handle an iron injury for the fae' and 'so your vampire skin has a sunburn'. I think it would be immensely helpful. Or hell, maybe I just need a Faerie Life for Dummies book. Do you think I can get that at Barnes & Noble?" She glanced up at the feline, a hint of a smile on her face. "Truly, I have no idea what to do with any of this."
