Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

To say that she was nervous was an understatement. While she wasn't afraid that Dorian or Sebastian meant any harm to Tenley, she was worried about how the child would be perceived. After all, it was entirely unheard of for a vampire child to be born let alone grow as she was doing. She was more nervous about what the world might think of her child. No doubt her life would always be in danger. While she loved her daughter immensely, had she knows that she would get pregnant and give birth to a growing vampire child, then she might have taken precautions with Troy. After all, she would have never chosen this life for her child.

But here Sebastian and Dorian were, and there was little else that could be said on the matter. The vampire king would need to know about her, so perhaps he might be able to aid in her protection as well. She had to put her trust into Dorian and Sebastian as well as Troy. They were the only ones who knew about her child and the only ones that could ensure her safety.

As she asked if marriage was treating them both well, she could not help the way her fingers fiddled with the engagement ring she wore on her own left ring finger. She looked to Troy and saw his wink. It calmed her and made her smile sweetly back at him. It was then that Dorian answered her, claiming it suited them well and he hoped that she and Troy felt the same. She blushed lightly. "Thank you, Dorian. We haven't exactly made it public yet - it only recently happened." She could not help the playful grin that made its way to her lips. The love she had for Troy had a strange way of making her behave. She felt as though she was nothing but a love-stricken teenager.

As they all filed into the parlor, Amelia grabbed the red wine for Dorian, pouring first him a glass and then Sebastian. In fact, she decided red wine was probably better than bourbon, she poured herself and Troy one as well.

It was then that little Tenley came running into the room, only to be lifted by her mother. Amelia looked worriedly at Dorian as she saw the surprise on not only his face, but Sebastian's as well. She handed off Tenley to Troy, the little girl loving her father as much as the next little girl. The interaction between herself and Dorian was utterly cute. Tenley, the ever shy little child, tucked her head into the crook of her father's neck. But ever curious, she turned her head so she could still keep an eye on the strangers.

Amelia smiled at her daughter, looking back to Dorian. "I'm afraid I don't take her out much, so she's unused to meeting new people. She is quite the smart, happy child, if I may say so." She was far more grown than she appeared, the child smart and mature and always keeping her parents on their toes. It was Sebastian's question that had he looking up at him with a simple shrug. "I was hoping you might have some sort of idea. When I found out I was pregnant, I was astonished. Vampires cannot bear children...and yet I did. And somehow, Tenley is growing as any child would, but much quicker. I don't know when her aging will stop...or if it even will." There were so many questions, so many things that Amelia didn't know. She wanted to know them all, so when he daughter began to ask those questions, Amelia might be able to answer them. And yet, Amelia could only adapt as she went - there was no rule book written for this type of child.

Amelia did not miss the way Sebastian seemed protective of Dorian as he reached for Tenley. He had every right to be worried - vampires and fairies did not have the best record. And a young, immature vampire was surely a danger to a fairy. "Sebastian, she will not hurt Dorian - with Troy around her cravings are well-controlled." She hoped her words would offer him if only a little bit of comfort.

When Sebastian asked Tenley if she would be joining them for dinner, she lifted her head from her father's shoulder, looking first at her mother and then to Sebastian. "Yes! I have a special chair!" Amelia chuckled as she looked to Sebastian. "She has a booster seat. She dines with Troy and I at the main table." She offered him a smile, until Dorian's question had her attention drawn to him. She sighed softly. "Her diet is no different than any other vampire. She appears to be completely vampire, despite her ability to grow." The child drank blood like any other. Though she was able to control her cravings. Amelia, after all, had started her training from day one. She never fed off a live human - only the donors that so willingly gave their own blood for Amelia.

One of the staff came to the parlor, cleared his throat, and motioned for the dinning room. "Dinner is served." Amelia thanked the man and grabbed her glass of wine to take with her. As she began to lead them towards the dining room, she looked back at Sebastian. "Is there a certain blood type that you prefer?" Perhaps he had a preference just as she and Tenley did.
