Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

That very surprise in so seeing young Tenley, so hardly a true babe any longer and far more akin to, well, a toddler, was so surely clear upon both his and Sebastian's features. How much that child had aged in such a short period of time! It was remarkable truly. The girl a veritable anomaly. How on earth she grew when she was most assuredly a vampire in turn was perhaps the most remarkable off all and yet- for all the curiosity the Monarch so found in Tenley he would hardly deny he was perhaps equally as curious of Troy and Amelia. He recalled that very night Tory had told him Amelia was expecting. Dorian having been nothing short of taken aback. A vampire simply....could not reproduce. Their bodies so simply denied that creation of life in much the same fashion as they themselves were denied it. Yet- the very rules of nature, of fate itself, so seemed to have been defined when it came to Amelia and Troy. Did one of them, perhaps, possess some....affinity for.....reproduction? Perhaps one of them, or both of them, held a gift of life similar to his own? Yet still- to sustain a pregnancy was a remarkable feat. Perhaps even more so then conceiving that child to being with. How very many questions he had! Dorian's mind so turning over a veritable plethora of considerations. He remained distinctly...wary of that child still, even if he so strove to act otherwise. Dorian so hardly fearing the girl, rather, he was perhaps inclined to a degree of caution, a hesitance even, after so enduring Sebastian's own maker. Vampire children having left something of a stain upon his judgement off them in the wake of Anna-Marie.

That ready glimpse of surprise was so furthred upon his features by Sebastian's very admittance of his Maker only moments later. Anna-Marie something of a vexing point for his lover and one they themselves rarely discussed if only for the notion they were both, perhaps, inclined to pretend she did not exist. Few of his husbands memories with his Maker seeming to be positive at all. It was Sebastian's very thoughts upon his own Maker however, that surely prompted his husband to considered that vampire child more readily. Sebastian suggesting that Tenley was born into death, rather then made and yet for all her uniqueness he suspected, much as Dorian too had considered, that is was Troy, Amelia, or both whom were perhaps equally unique in their ability to create her at all. Dorian's own efforts to greet the child, were, perhaps, a little ambitious. The girl likely not yet old enough for that handshake. Dorian withdrew that hand readily only for that joke to leave Troy's lips. The Monarch unable to prevent that simper that found him in the wake of those words, a ready chuckle humming from within his throat. Amelia's assurance that Tenley was perfectly safe only furthered that warm simper upon his lips. Dorian so hardly wishing to give away that notion that while her certainly trusted Troy and Amelia, a part of him remained wary of Tenley still if only for the fickleness of children and their desires.

Sebastian, it seemed, was far more popular with the child then himself. Tenley proudly informing his husband off her own special seat. Dorian left to wonder of the apparent marvel that was this booster chair. Such a curious word! Troys sudden query upon Sebastian's Maker saw the Monarch eyes lift but slightly in surprise. Dorian affording his husband a near curious look as he so met his gaze. Anna-Marie hardly a topic Sebastian was truly inclined to talk about and yet too- the vampire was as unlikely as himself to ignore those requests from a host in their entirety. Dorian so briefly allowed his hand to brush agianst Sebastian's own in that subtle gesture of both affection and reassurance. That ready announcement of dinner perhaps a welcomed distraction that saw that small party retreat into the dinning room, Dorian readily taking his seat beside his husband as Amelia saw to organising a proper meal for the vampires. A plate of salmon, garlic, mashed potatoes and bread placed before himself. How very rare it was that Sebastian and himself might be presented with seafood! Such a meal so normally, purposefully, not given to them and yet surely in the home of their friends it might be safe? Dorian waited until Amelia herself begun that meal before reaching for his own fork, the Monarch content to query on whether or not the couple intended on more children. Amelia's insistence they were not actively trying prompted that ready nod from the man in turn, the pair, it seemed, hardly certain if it was even possible. Troy further commented upon even their own doctors bafflement at Tenleys existence. Dorian so content to consider whether or not she had been created in the...traditional sense. Such a question hardly one he saw fit to voice over dinner all the same. Another curiosity so finding its place within his mind then as he glanced back toward Amelia.

"Was your pregnancy a normal one, if you don't mind my asking?"

After all, carrying a vampire child, he suspected, was not at all the same to carrying a human one. Dorian having seen his own Mother birth quite a number of children after himself. The Monarch distinctly familiar with those very processes- a least from a mortal perspective. Dorian reached readily for another bite of his potato then as Amelia and Troy both so turned to Sebastian for his theories upon the matter. The Fae King inclined to listen in turn even as his own mind so continued to contemplate that child altogether.
