Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

At Sterling's admittance that he had never had triangles or rectangles, Henry looked at him questionably. More than likely, Sterling hadn't had a grilled cheese a day in his life, but that was another issue entirely. "When I was a kid, I wanted rectangles and would be mad if I didn't get it...but honestly, triangles are less crust per bite, at least in my opinion." Whether or not the math was right was another issue. He certainly didn't sit down and calculate exactly how much crust was in each bite of sandwich. It was more anecdotal really. He didn't like crust and he felt like he tasted less when the grilled cheese was cut in triangles. If there was any truth to it was a mystery, one he didn't anticipate solving.

After the sandwich was handed over, he quickly dressed, thankful that he now had on a pair of shorts and t-shirt. If he and Sterling had been an item, it wouldn't have mattered if he ran around the apartment naked. In fact, it might have led to some amazing sex. But they weren't an item and the chance of him fucking Sterling tonight were negative infinity.

He asked if he was hurt, if he needed healing, yet Sterling was quick to tell him he was fine and it was just a few bruises. Henry shook his head, unable to accept that answer. No matter what had transpired between them, Henry still loved Sterling and wanted him to be pain and injury free. There was probably nothing in the world that could be said to make that any different.

Stepping back around, he hovered his hands over the bruises, his magic seeming to seep into Sterling's body, healing the bruises from the inside out and leaving him with nothing but pristine skin. It was moments like these that he wished he could heal Sterling's mental wounds too, maybe that might help them get on better terms with one another.

Conversation went naturally to Sterling's bird, a bird that was more than just a pet. Clearly this bird meant something to Sterling. In this moment, he was entirely jealous that it was his bird that Sterling sought company in.

His words broke his concentration, the train of thought that was far too hurtful to say out loud. At Sterling's question, he shrugged. "She seems healthy...but dark hunters after dip their arrows. I don't know if it would effect her." But his question of what he should do had him shrugging even harder. "Are you a part of a coven? Maybe they know how to fix it? She seems okay, though...so you're probably fine." While he might normally suggest a wait and see, he knew this bird meant the world to Sterling. "...but I can try to do some research if you want." Where he would find the answers, he had no idea.
