Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

This lingering mystery of just why Sebastian had gone to Austria saw Dorian's attention continue to linger upon the man as it so often did each time he found himself within the vampire's company. He hardly desired to appear obtrusive over business that was most assuredly not his own to be privy too and yet whatever it was Sebastian had done that had so prompted both his abrupt departure and this lingering displeasure that seemed to afflict him at the mention of it had truly intrigued the Fae's mind. He had perhaps, known his companion entirely long enough to deduce the mans moods to a certain extent. It was unusual in any sense for Sebastian to appear less then, well, the very definition of pleasing company. The vampire very rarely afflicted by anything other than whatever pleasure he took from the moment or adventure they were sharing and yet subtle though it was, Dorian remains almost keenly attuned to the man's discomfort on this topic alone. More unusual still however was a desire of sorts that Dorian found so blossoming within himself to....alleviate whatever it was that so seemed to upset the man beside him. In what fashion he could ever hope to do such a thing he hardly knew, especially when the root of the problem remained concealed from him and yet he disliked to see his companion in any state of distress, subtle or otherwise. The vampires words so seem to trail off and indeed for a moment Dorian perhaps anticipates he will not be offered an answer at all- nor will he push further for it tonight. The answer with which he is ultimately presented however had surely not been what he had anticipated.

The look of surprise upon his features is surely clear, Dorian having failed to actually consider the notion that Sebastian had a Maker in any fashion. It was, perhaps, a logical realisation. Vampire could not be born as Fae were and yet, if the creation of a Vampire was anywhere near as distressing as the creation of a Fae from a mortal human, the King hardly finds himself wishing to even imagine such a thing happening to his lover. Especially, it would seem, at the hands of one whom had somehow failed to acknowledge she had created another. Sebastian's answer surely leaves the man with only further questions- and on so many things! Yet for now he simply affords him perhaps the simplest of responses.

"If your Maker did not know you existed until recently then I assume when it was you first became this way that you were alone. No one should be alone- not in that."

He has seen that before, amongst the Fae at least, the utter distress of a newly created being left abandoned. Indeed- even Samantha had suffered this fate. Dorian's disdain for it having seen his own Court utterly forbidden from the creation of new Fae by way of Turning in the least. If they desired to attempt such a thing by more natural means they were entirely welcome. His Court, in the least, had always been rather active in the evening. To his own words however, Dorian hardly anticipated a response and for this evening at least he is willing enough to release his companion from any further question on them- the man merely allowing his shoulder to brush against the vampires own in a touch of subtle affection. The sight of the car derailing any further thoughts. His companions apology is easily waved away, Dorian moving to slide into the vehicle even despite his own initial hesitation and the evident wariness of it he retained, even from within. He can sense at least some level of iron within this machine, such a thing so resulting in his evident suspicion of it and yet he had learned from his original journey within such a contraption that the levels of such metal were not nearly enough to afflict him. Besides- he hardly desires that Sebastian should think of him as being cowardly in any fashion. If Samantha and Sebastian himself could easily ride within such machines without fear then Dorian is assured he might do the same. It would merely take some getting used to.

The sudden movement of the car sees his fingers tighten slightly upon the seat and yet such a thing is momentary, the Fae far more inclined to focus his attention on the man beside him and indeed those lingering thoughts that seem to plague his own mind still. The soft prompting of the man beside him at last seems to see Dorian offer at least one of the concerns of his mind- that Sebastian may yet plan to leave him a second time. The Fae aware, on some level, of how surely foolish he must appear to the other man and yet the truth of it remained. He simply desired to keep Sebastian here. His motives surely entirely selfish. The vampire's assurance that he had no intention of returning to Austria see's the Fae King smile softly once more- at least until this mention of England occurs, his features shifting into a frown of sorts within near the same moment. That his lover intended to leave him again was almost painful to consider, this most unusual emotion seeming to perhaps prompt the words that so feel from his lips. An admittance of affection beyond that which he would not normally ever dare voice. Yet- for all his years Dorian is not at all sure he has ever felt near half the emotions Sebastian so seems to have prompted him to discover had lain dormant within himself. The soft words of the man beside him see his own silver gaze flutter back towards him with a sudden intrigue. The vampires lips pressing gently to the side of his own.

"You would allow me to accompany you?"

The words are no more than a soft utterance, Dorian seeking to assure himself perhaps that Sebastian was entirely sincere in this promise. The man unable to prevent the smile that so laced his features at the thought of something as pleasurable as this. To travel with his companion was something so undecidedly more then the relationship of mere lovers and yet Dorian no longer truly cares for the correctness of it.

"I would like to come with you and see your home."

It is the soft admittance that follows however that so seems to seize the Fae's attention all over again, this hint of something more within Sebastian's voice hardly missed by the often observant Fae and yet truly Dorian is hardly sure he dares to press upon it, this flutter of nervousness so seeming to eclipse him once more in a way so wholly ridiculous as if he is a mere boy experiencing the affection of a lover for the first time! Yet he had never truly desired the affections of any of his lovers- not until now. His gaze flickers so briefly from the man beside him and instead to the darkness of the window of the car, taking several moments now to decide upon the words he might so wish to bestow upon him- each chosen with a distinct care.

"I think, Bastien, that if the sun did not rise as it is inclined to do, that I wouldn't leave you at all and this is the truth of it."

That silver of his gaze returns to the vampire now, his hand moving within the dark of the car to find Sebastian's own, affording it softest and most fleeting of touches. There is something distinctly difficult in this admittance- Dorian so unused to even this level of...openness perhaps and yet he cannot bring himself to regret the offering of such words all the same nor the simper that touches his lips in some assurance that in this desire at least, Sebastian was hardly alone. The sudden appearance of a box offered towards him sees both eyes lift upward in surprise. No small level of inquisitiveness touching his features now as he moves to take it, Dorian assured he hardly required gifts and yet to decline such a thing would be a distinct slight the Fae should hardly dare to imply. He moves with a distinct care to unwrap the box, sliding from within it an object the likes of which he has never seen as it rests within his palm. The man turning the cell phone over several times with clear intrigue before turning to his lover once more.

"I am assured that I shall like it very much though I am not entirely assured as to what it is nor of its function, I fear."
