South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Evident glee exposes itself in the broadening of the smile at her lips, a flash of brightest white to mirror his own before her flame-locked head bobs in a consenting nod. Evidence of a rare and deepening trust is the lack of apprehension in the soft blue of her eyes and the relaxed stature of her body. In life Isolt had found it within herself to trust freely, to cast aside doubt in the face of some unspoken notion, some hope, that the world and those who resided therein were as amiable at heart as she was. In the moments during which she had succumbed to the cool fingers of death trickling down her spine, and every moment thereafter, there had been clarity... the ripping away of hope's farce and the exposure of the hideous and naked axiomatic truth that the world and its residents were far more insidious than ever she could have perceived. And so no longer did she give of herself and of her trust so freely; it seemed that forevermore she was destined to banish others to a safe distance in order to protect the shell of the person she once had been.

Except, it would seem, for him.

Isolt was unable, and unwilling perhaps, to condemn Damon to the distant solitude to which she had done every other individual with whom she had crossed paths. The elder vampire possessed his own unique cache of virtues and vices just as surely as they all did, and yet her thirst for his companionship was ever as insatiable as it had been for Harley's during her human life. This acceptance was a peculiar thing indeed, and one that Isolt was helpless to puzzle out... but nor did she challenge it for he soothed her ailing soul in a manner that nothing and no one else seemed able. And so it is with subtle eagerness that Isolt consents to meander beside her counterpart, scrupulous attentions not failing to note the manner in which his hands slide into the depths of his pockets as if hiding. Self-doubt and modesty dictate that she hardly assumes this is to stay his urges to touch her, for truly she doubts that he may have desired to anyway.

Thankfully his words shatter the awkwardness that swirls about in her own mind, blue eyes meandering towards grey ones, a rare and fox-like grin sliding over her features, visible even in the darkness. "I have. Some really old guy taught me a few things," she teases, a lighthearted giggle bubbling up from within in a show of humor that has become sparse in the months since the auburn-haired girl's death. The impish smirk that plucks at her lips dissolves; however, as the shrubbery pulls apart to expose the break-taking hillside that seems something out of a fairy tale and the cityscape that glistens peacefully in the distance. Delicate fingers rise to cover Isolt's mouth as she chances a few steps towards the skyline that seems covered in a blanket of glitter, the young woman astounded that she might find the night as enticing as she remembered the day. "Oh Damon," she whispers through her fingers, crystalline blue eyes roving slowly over the allure that lies all around. "It's so beautiful."
