South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

By now Kato was long familiar with the haughtiness that overtook Edie when she was cranky from being tired, hot, or even too hungry. Her crankiness expressed by having to spend so much time walking was met with little more than a simper on his part. "You're hardly walking the whole continent. You can do it, I know you can, and you'll be even stronger by the end of it." It would do good for her endurance when it came to his fighting lessons with her. It was Edie's decision to shed half her clothing that actually got more of a reaction from the man. Nudity for Weres was just as common as nudity for the natives. It wasn't her being in her bra and shorts all of a sudden that caused Kato to raise his brows but the fact that she was exposing even more of her pale skin to the unrelenting rays of the sun. "You're going to burn." There was concern in his voice, shifting to grab her shirt in order to hand it back to her when the incident with the women carrying the water happened and he shifted his focus to helping.

Like any male, the compliment that the woman paid him in her gratitude made Kato's ego puff in pride. He wasn't a vain person but did enjoy the compliment because in their culture, any compliment and blessing on yourself was also a blessing to your entire family. So he hadn't thought how it may have appeared to Edie when he returned to her side to question her about how much longer she thought she could go. He was about to continue on about his family and the herd but the look on her face and her silence caused him to falter. Kato lifted a brow, "What's wrong?" Kato wasn't rewarded with an answer. Instead Edie made a swift shift that caused Kato's stomach to lurch. What had gotten into her?! He quickly looked around to see if any had seen the transformation and was grateful that there weren't many on the road and those that were hadn't seemed to be looking.

"Edie!" He gritted through his teeth in frustration as he hurriedly gathered her clothes and stuffed them in the bag. "Supernaturals aren't out in the open here like in Sacrosanct." Kato continued in a hushed scold, reaching out to grab her around the middle with one hand and place her in the bag much like you would a small dog to a purse. She was much too small for him to trust her not to get swept away from a bird of prey or run over by a cyclist not paying attention. He had no idea why she would be so brazen about shifting and nearly get them caught. He could only sigh and shift the bag back in place over his shoulder so Edie was balanced on top of it and continue on with his walk with a hushed tone, "This isn't like where you came from...there is still so much culture here that believes in good and evil...in tricksters that take animal forms and mean people harm. We have to be careful around humans here."

Seeing as it seemed Edie wasn't about to shift back, Kato was left with the one-sided conversation. He supposed at least with her in Were form even with it still being hot, she wasn't going to get sunburned or exhausted from the miles of walking she was unused to. Kato only stopped a few more times to offer her water. There were no more looks from the natives that they passed seeing as there was no white woman trekking beside him. It was far less odd to see an animal hitching a ride.

The sun began to set, painting the sky wonderful hues of purples, blues, oranges, and pinks and only then to Kato turn his set path from off the road and into the long grass. In equal as silence he moved them off the road nearly another mile to the base of a large acacia tree before shifting the bag and in result Edie as well to plop onto the ground once more. Already the sounds of the bush were beginning to come alive as the heat had diminished and they began to crawl from their hiding places. "We'll stop here for a while." He explained, eyeing Edie's fox form. "...Are you going to talk to me yet? Tell me what is bothering you?"
