East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

As she let on that she thought he was talking about her smell, he furhter explained that he was saying she looked nice, even sexy. She beamed at him, suddenly feeling a lot more confident in this dress. "Oh! Thanks." She didn't read more into it. She could tell by the way he was looking at her that he was already picturing the things they could do alone but she was going to behave herself and respect his space beause she knew she wasn't really the one he wanted. She could control herself. She might even stop him if he tried. Might. He led her into the restaurant and as she commented about how fancy the place was, he said that when she went out to dinner with someone else, that these are the standards she should be looking at. She smirked and tilted her head. "A place where I can't read the menu? How sweet. I was hoping we could just catch an elk later or something." She grinned, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She was teasing him, of course. She knew that Henry cared about her and she cared about him too. He was a good friend and she hoped to keep it that way. She had come to trust him more than almost anyone else.

She told him that she can't read the menu and he seemed truly apologetic. Of course he wouldn't think of that. It's probably pretty common for humans to know how to read. She didn't hold it against him or anything. He even offered to teach her and she brightened up. "Really? Is it hard?" She wrinkled her nose, thinking of Frost wanting to teach her how to use a washer and dryer. Hopefully it wouldn't be that tedious. She asked if he could order for her and he nodded in agreement as the waitor came up to take their orders. She listened attentively as he told her what they wanted. Her mouth was already starting to water and she didn't even know what a filet minon was. It just sounded good. She raised a brow when he said something about one rare. Oh, was it an endangered rabbit or something? That would be awesome! He said something about potatoes which made her brow rise then he ended it with salad and she wrinkled her nose, thinking of Frost and his vegetarian diet. And something about wine. At least he asked for sweet. He remembered that she liked fruity. She smirked.

She leaned forward after the waitor walked away. "So...how endangered is the filet minon you ordered? Like one or two left in the world? Is this place a black market or something?" She glanced around almost sheepishly, thinking maybe she was talking too loud when she said it. Then she looked back at him. "And what's it mean for a potato to be loaded? Is it like bullets in a gun? And why the salad? You know I'm not a goat or horse, right?" He mentioned something about steak and her eyes widened in delight. "Oh, beef! I love beef!" She clapped her hands together. Then he said he hoped she liked wine and she wrinkled her nose at the thought of beer. "That stuff's nasty. If the wine is fruity, I'm sure I'll like it." She shifted in her seat. "So...how are things? Have you talked to your boyfriend lately?" That was what he had called him, right? She hoped she got it right.
