Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Vhal was surprised to hear that Sam had received a visit from the council, it was the first she had heard of it, then again it had been awhile since she had visited the faerie queen. Luckily enough Sam hadn't noticed the break in either. The assassin was still rather peeved the little were-bitch had gotten away but Sam was safe and that was all that Vhalla really cared about. Lifting her gaze to meet Sam's eyes in the mirror she was almost startled as she finally took in the woman before her, "You dyed your hair," she commented, pointing out the obvious.
"It looks nice," she complements the woman before returning the conversation back to the hunter, "If you're still alive and living here in the city, it must have worked out in your favor. I've yet to be visited by a council member, I suppose I'm rather lucky," she truly was indeed. If the council had found out she was a hired assassin she didn't think she would live long enough to escape the city. Pushing the thought away she relishes the way Sam weaves her fingers through her hair. The assassin had no recollection of having a family but she could easily compare this to a mother styling her daughter's hair for a night out.
Releasing a relaxed sigh, she lets her eyes flutter close briefly, enjoying the sensation. "I don't know him," she responds with a shrug, she wouldn't admit the she liked him or disliked him, Vhal knew it would only fuel the faerie more. Though, she couldn't hide much from Sam anyways. "I'll try and enjoy myself, I just don't know how," she responds quietly, it was one thing working a job it was a whole new territory dating for pleasure. Cringing at all the things that could go wrong, she squashes the thoughts immediately and reaches for her holster. Slipping it up her leg as if it were a garter, she tightens it until its snug and slides one of her hunting knives into it.
"It's always safer to be prepared, especially in this city," she remarks dryly watching as Sam follows her movements. Swiveling in her chair, she allows the queen to apply the makeup to her, closing her eyes when asked and parting her plump lips for the lipstick. Though the assassin had worn makeup in the past, she rarely ever wore lipstick; she was surprised to see how much it enhanced the plump curve of her lips. Glancing at herself in the mirror she looks away quickly as she suddenly becomes self-conscious, "Sam, I changed my mind, I don't want to-," her eyes widen as the doorbell rings.
Watching Sam smile at Vhal only causes the witch to furrow her brows. She feels the strappy black heels shoved into her hands and she only has enough time to slip them on before she's being ushered down the stairs. She then thanks whatever gods above her that Dorian wasn't here to see her like this. Glancing back over her shoulder, she watches the faerie queen give her a small smile and a wave from the top of the stairs. Vhal almost wished Sam was coming with her. Taking a deep breath, she caresses the side of her leg gently to ensure the dagger rests there comfortably and unnoticed. Satisfied it's well hidden, she makes her way towards the door.
Grasping the handle, she opens it and slips outside, not giving Will a chance to see the inside of the aprtment. Shutting the door behind her, she almost steps into him, not realizing how close he was to her, stumbling backwards, she catches herself before she can fall and instead feels her back pressed against the door. Tilting her head back, her lips part slightly as she inspects the man before her, forcing a cocky smile to her features she tilts her head slightly, "We have to stop meeting like this," she greets him, voice cracking, feeling her heart racing in her chest from nerves.
