Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Prior to that delicate moment, the Englishman had not truly considered how Dorian might receive that news that he had known for quite sometime of that relation between the Frenchman and his lover. That small frown upon the fae King's features had a way of near making his heart drop into his stomach. That moment, thankfully, was quite fleeting before that simper once again settled on his lover's lips, his own attention entirely acute upon the man in those singular moments. He was unaware, truly, of the way that he had so given himself away to his boyfriend by so readily accepting, and indeed encouraging, anytime spent between the two fae. That slight roll of Dorian's entrancing silver eyes were met with a glimpse of inquisitiveness from the vampire before the man admitted that he had long since suspected that he had known. A small smile crossed his features, the vampire wholly reassured that the King hardly held any discontent with him for keeping such knowledge to himself. "I'm sorry, mon amour, I just...thought it best you heard it from him..." His voice trailed off, unsure truly, how to voice the heart of his fears that had so prompted him into silence for so long. He abhorred the idea that, if Dorian heard the truth from himself, he might feel almost...unwanted by his Father. He wished nothing but the best for the fae King - for happiness in that family he had so yearned for that had come so dreadfully late.

It was in an effort to reassure the Monarch that his actions had purely been out of his adoration that he leaned forward ever so slightly to press his lips against Dorian's own, that kiss still far too fleeting for his preferences. It was the announcement that Matteo was still downstairs and flustering his own servant at that which finally prompted action from the vampire. A soft sigh left his lips as he commented that, he supposed he might be so prompted to leave the comforts of that bedroom. He couldn't help that grumble upon his lips and yet, Dorian's insistence that Elizabeth would certainly appreciate that saving of her virtue only caused a snort to leave his nose. Hesitantly, the vampire shifted as Dorian rose from his lap, the vampire sluggishly making his way towards that large closet as he shuffled through those drawers to find something appropriate to wear. Unlike his companion, however, he hardly fretted over such a choice nearly as much. However, he was inclined, to some degree, to take his time, if only for the knowledge of how Dorian's eyes so lingered upon his bare flesh.

It was that sound of his name that saw him glance up from the buttoning of his shirt, his eyebrows furrowed as his lover inquired after his own affinity. A small frown crossed his lips as his head cocked to the side, the vampire attempting to remember those moments in which the two had spent within the company of the fae though, truly, there were often too many red threads for him to single out any particular one without acute effort. The palace had often been blooming with life - with fae and mortals and connections of every kind. His own home, however, was blissfully absent of that sometimes veritable sea of red. Here, there were but three he had to fret over. "I...don't remember. There were...many when we were in Italy and I...admittedly wasn't very attentive to it the last time he visited. I will check though, ma biche." He offered in a solemn promise before turning to place that cologne upon his wrists and wrestle his locks into some measure of orderliness. It was but moments later that he declared himself ready, his fingers so fitting within his lover's own as Dorian led the way down those stairs and towards that dining room that had become adorned with delectable treats.

His presence alone seemed enough to prompt Elizabeth into action, filling those cups of tea whilst the vampire so keenly eyed that stack of goodies. Briefly, the vampire greeted that placid Frenchman before his attention turned to a far more important matter. He could smell that chocolatey substance amongst those other sugary sweetnesses that assaulted his sense, his nose twitching as he tracked down a rather peculiar looking brownie in the midsts of those cakes and muffins and far more British delights. It was with that bar in hand that the vampire reclined with ease within his own designated chair, biting into the brownie with a soft sound of utter satisfaction. God, how he relished in those sweets. It was certainly that alone which prompted the vampire to invite Matteo over to the house more often if it so ended in afternoon tea quite to this level. That idle comment that Matteo so inspired others caused a near skeptical look to cross his features and yet, he said particularly little on the topic, keen to enjoy that chocolate instead - until Dorian inquired exactly what it was the vampire was so indulging with. His head nodded in agreement with Matteo's assessment that it was, indeed, Nutella. For a moment, the vampire eyed that delectable treat before his blue eyes flickered upwards towards Dorian and back down towards his treat, clearly attempting to decide if he loved Dorian enough to share that chocolate with. A soft breath left his lips as he handed that bar towards his lover, "Here, try it. I think you'll like it." He commented, his attention shifting towards his tea once that bar had been taken from him.

That comment of his own servants, however, prompted a small simper of pride from his features, his gaze briefly darted towards that kitchen where he knew they so hovered. "Thank you. They can be, when so inclined." He commented, falling silent as he sipped on that warm beverage. He listened to that inquisitive exchange between father and son over France and rent, the vampire entirely observant of that near sheepish grin upon Dorian's features. He knew, in some regard, what Matteo was alluding to, his lover had returned from that night altogether near excited with that gift and those stories. That response, however, was halted only by the presence of his own manservant. His eyebrows raised ever so slightly at the obscurity of those words and yet, Sebastian knew better than to ask, only nodding ever so slightly in understanding. His gaze shifted towards the French fae, altogether attentive of that touch of red to his gaze, and, in turn, the vampire so took that moment to eye those fingers with a glimpse of curiosity - to see what only he was truly capable of noting. What little he'd gleamed from that distance, however, hardly surprised the man in the slightest. In fact, it only confirmed what he had already suspected though, at some point tonight, he would surely find an excuse to simply touch the fae's hand in an effort to gather the entirety of that truth. For now, however, his attention shifted towards that hint of amusement that filled the man's voice.

A small shrug crossed his shoulders as he leaned back within his chair, a small simper fluttered over his own lips. "Love has a way of doing that." He commented idly, knowing well what some would do for love. It was silly really, how some might so abandon their very own family to chase those emotions and chemical reactions. Still, he could hardly help that small hint of smugness that settled somewhere within him. His hands casually cupped that tea cup, the vampire thoroughly enjoying that heat to his chilled fingers and yet, those words of appreciation only served to see his forehead wrinkle in momentary consideration. "I hope you do not intend to make a habit of putting me in that situation." He commented after a moment, those blue eyes met the silver of Matteo's own, clearly intending to convey that intense dislike he'd held over having to so keep that secret from the man he so adored. "I will do what I think is best for Dorian, even if it is not convenient for you." It was, perhaps, not within his best interest to set himself at odds with his lover's father and yet...he could hardly deny that near possessiveness that flared to life within him. He would always choose Dorian's interest over any other - even his own family. This, it would seem, was where the vampire so intended to draw the line between himself and his hopefully future father-in-law.
