South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

I would never think of Isolt as the lonely type who craves company. She's so bright that I would think people and creatures of all kinds would flock to her to catch some of that light. She doesn't come off as intimidating or scary. If anything, I'd be more worried about the predator types around Sacro harassing her because they can see through that flimsy shield she likes to throw up when she's trying to be strong. I know everything's not as she makes it out to be. I know there are things she's hiding but I'm hoping some day she'll trust me enough to confide everything in me.

Meanwhile I have to wait for her. I know as soon as the sun sets that she'll be setting out from wherever she's staying to come find me. I sent her a mysterious text message, telling her to meet me at dark in Hyde Park. It's not a very big park so I know I'll see her when she gets here. If not by sight, I'm sure i'd be able to track her by scent any day. Everyone, no matter the species, seems to have their own particular fragrance. Most weres just smell like wet dog to me but vampires have a unique aroma that usually fits their personality. Mine's probably pretty bitter but I can't smell myself. I would know Isolt's anywhere after the embrace she gave me upon our last farewell.

I'm sure a lot has happened between then and now but hopefully she'll still be happy to see me. I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed her company. When I catch the first glimpse of her, I smirk, my eyes gleaming in approval at the life brimming in her bright blue eyes. I can tell she's been feeding. She looks a lot more lively than the last time we met so hopefully my teachings did her some good. She looks more energetic too. Her voice is practically a purr as she makes it sound coincidental, us meeting. My lips tug tighter on the sides, showing her a sliver of teeth as I tilt my head and raise a brow right back at her.

"I wouldn't say I match the attire settings for fancy but we'll go with fun casual."

I straighten up from the pole in my loose torn faded jeans and a white tshirt this time just to shake it up a bit. I nudge my head over my shoulder, giving her a mysterious hooded look.

"You ready? I've got something special planned for you tonight."

I give her a reassuring smile afterwards, not wanting her to get the wrong ideas or anything. I wait for her to get beside me before I start striding back into the woods behind the lights. There's a nice bicycle trail down here but the lighting is zilch. Good thing we have the eyes of creatures who are used to the nighttime. I mosey on down the trail at a light pace, not in any hurry. I slip my hands in my pockets, trying to resist the urge to reach for her hand. I turn back toward her, my gaze slipping politely down her form before I clear my throat.

"You look more...well fed than last we met. I assume you've found a way to eat without killing?"

I know there are plenty of places around Sacro that host donors. That's the nice word for walking blood bags, humans who enjoy the mixture of pain and pleasure that comes with a vampire's bite. I let her answer that one as we walk further into the woods. Up ahead, there's a pinch of light showing through the trees that hints that we'll be out of the darkness soon enough. My pace quickens just a little, enough to betray my eagerness to get there and see her reaction. Finally the trees break apart and we walk out onto a hilly cliff side. The land drops away a few yards ahead and the city of Sacro lies out before us, windows and signs and everything all lit up to make quite the spectacle. That's not even the best part though. A creek that was running parallel to our path the whole time widens and gains speed, falling right over the cliff face like a waterfall. It makes a musical sound as it splashes down the rocky face and ends up in a lake down at the bottom.

Just a few feet in front of where we came out of the woods, a blanket is spread out on the ground with delectables only our kind would find the pure joy in. Blood disguised in wine bottles that are in insulated coosies to keep them warm and the look of pastries on plates that only our sensitive noses can pick up on the juicy centers that more than make up our number one diet. I pause and look over at her, my eyes the only indicator that I'm also a little nervous, hoping this is just the thing she needed for distraction on a night like tonight.
