The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Kato Buhari
Edie's assurance that her animal form was from Africa so she would be just fine earned a chuckle from the man. He wouldn't comment on it and instead watch as she found out exactly how different it was if you'd never lived in Africa. Kato was pleased though that she didn't removed the hat he had stuck on her. It meant even she had doubt of some sort. Still, he led her over the sun-baked earth, hardly noticing the looks that were cast their way. He couldn't exactly blame any thoughts that ran through the minds of the people they came across. Tourists were common in Africa though they usually traveled in groups rumbling by in their large tourist jeeps with their cameras clicking away.
After only two hours did Kato slow and offer Edie some reprieve. He easily shifted the bag off his back and dug out a water bottle, handing it to her and standing there waiting so that she could rest a bit as she drank. His attention turned to the horizon as he gauged mentally where they were and where his family possibly was. "A day..." He eyed Edie from the corner of his eye, "or two's walk." With Edie he wasn't exactly sure that she would be able to keep up the pace in the heat in order to make it to the reserve in one day. She would need more rest stops and need to sleep come night.
Kato took a swig of water from his own water bottle before tossing it back into the bag. Once Edie had gathered her breathe, Kato threw the duffel over his back once more. He wasn't exactly immune to the heat, his own body holding a slight sheen of exertion from the heat after the hours being bare-chested to the elements. "Keep that with you but don't guzzle, you'll get cramps if you do." The proper paved road became duller and more broken as they went on and the cars that passed more and more sparse until it was majority of those on foot like they were or zipping by on bicycles. "My mother's name is Lana; she's the spiritual leader of the herd. She retells the history of our land and guides the herd on where we go. My father, he was the Sangoma...the healer. She never remarried after he passed out. My older brother, Raziya, he's only two years older than me but he is the main one that trains all the boys on how to become men. He's married and has three sons of his own last time I saw him. My little sister, Maeve, she's 4 years younger and is a lot like you. She was always a spitfire, feisty, and giving all the boys a run for their money. Mother has always tried to get her to settle down and marry." She had requested that he talk to distract her and felt no better of a topic than his family and herd. "We're different out here than ordinary Were groups. There are predator ones out here as well that consider themselves packs. We don't call ourselves a pack but a herd. There may be an older individual that teaches and guides the younger ones but it's a group movement, a group mentality; there isn't an Alpha and Beta dictating to Omgeas with one holding more authority over the other." Perhaps once Edie saw how his herd was she'd understand why he remained on the outskirts of her pack, declaring no loyalty to any in Sacrosanct.
He spoke as they walked until they came upon a group of women with baskets of produce and barrels of water balanced on their head with two having the addition of a baby strapped to their back. The few older children that trekked behind the women were carrying their own loads of smaller water jugs strapped to their back with a fabric looped over the top of their head. Their lyrics of song met Kato's ears with a familiarity that caused him to smile and his features to soften. There was beauty in it all that Kato had missed and felt very much at home in that moment. It was then that a few young men came up on them on their bikes, whistling at the women with one reaching out to pinch and tug at one of the women's body wrap as he zipped through the space between Kato's other side and the woman. It caused the woman to falter and the jug upon her head to sway in threat to topple off.
Kato was quick to step away from Edie's side and to the offended woman, reaching up easily with his free hand and catching the large jug of water before it could crash into the ground and lose all her hard work and precious water. The singing ceased as the women took up to shouting and insulting the disappearing men while the one who Kato helped smiled gratefully. He helped her lift the heavy object back up to settle into its place on her head. The woman spoke, foreign words escaping from her lips though it was easy to tell from the tone that it was gratitude she was speaking to Kato. That very signature, dare we say 'panty dropping', smirk of Kato's crossed his features as he replied in the same foreign lyrics. He stepped away from her, earning himself a once over in approval from all women in the group and passive looks from the children before the continued on to turn off the path into the brush. Kato returned to Edie's side with that smile still on his face and continued on talking to her as if nothing had happened. "Do you think you can make it a few more hours before we make camp?"
