The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She didn't mind that Henry didn't pick her up at the house. It might have been a little awkward with her living with another alpha and Henry was the prodigy of Frost's rival. She didn't know the rules of dating anyway so she didn't even know it was a thing to pick a girl up to go out. She just figured you decide where you're going and you meet there. It's not like there was anything like it in the coyote pack. There wasn't dates. You just found a mate you couldn't live without and you started doing everything together and having pups. She wondered if Henry had spoken to that boyfriend he used to talk about, if he had fixed whatever was broken and if they were hanging out again. He seemed happy when he talked about the guy before so maybe that was who he liked. If that was a thing. Maybe she'd never know. Henry didn't really open up to anyone. She didn't think of this as a date. She didn't even know what dates were. She just knew that she was hanging out with a friend. A friend who liked to stare at her like a piece of meat as she walked up to him. She swayed her hips on purpose, giggling as she got up to him. "Like what you see? You're such a cheese ball." She laughed. She had to admit, it felt good to have him looking at her like that, to have anyone looking at her like that. He told her she cleaned up nice and she paused, lifting her arm to sniff herself. "Well, yeah, I'm clean. I do shower, you know." She had no idea it was supposed to be a compliment on how she looked. He cleared his throat and she tilted her head. "Need some water? You okay?" When she asked if she would embarrass him, he laughed and said that she was getting better at being human. She smirked, nudging his shoulder playfully. "Thanks. I'm getting my practice in." As he offered his arm, she raised a brow in question before slowly reaching out to wrap her own arm through it. Then she grinned, impressed at herself about figuring it out. A waitress came to lead them to a table in the back and she looked around hungrily at the other patrons and tables. "Oh, fancy. You really went all out, Henry. I bet the food's good." She sat in the booth and smiled at Henry as he sat across from her. She mimicked him, taking a menu, scowling thoughtfully as she looked through the words. She shrugged when he said to see if anything sunds interesting. "It'd probably be easier if I knew how to read." She hadn't had a chance to teach herself yet or have someone teach her. It probably didn't help that she was too restless to sit still for long. He mentioned cheese fries and she snorted. "Too bad. That would really hit the spot." She finally sighed and set the menu down, giving it up as a lost cause. Couldn't teach herself to read this way. She leaned across the table. "What kind of meat do they have? Anything good? Order something for me. You know what I'll like." She winked at him teasingly. |
