Nakedness was not something that Ashton was used to seeing. Even within his own family, they never were naked in front of one another. In fact, the most naked he'd seen had been men and women in swimsuits. If he had his own say, they simply showed too much skin for his own liking. So naturally, when Malia just started taking off her clothes, it definitely caught him off guard. He was still a man, however, so a naked woman in front of him was a huge temptation. But like a gentleman, he pried his eyes from her and lowered them before turning his back to give her some sort of privacy. She may not need it, but it made him feel better.
Once he looking at her in her coyote form, he tried to explain to her why he was so hesitant to join her. He had to stay true to his beliefs. It didn't feel right to shift in front of a stranger. Perhaps he was putting more thought into this than he really needed to, but he couldn't help it. She seemed a little irritated with his choice, but he had to stay true to himself.
Eventually, she seemed to understand because she began to shift once more, back into her human form. Unlike before, he had to bring his eyes upward due to her crouched position. But as soon as she stood, his eyes were level set on her breasts. It took him a moment before he dropped his gaze again. He hated being human sometime â€" things like this clouded his thoughts and his judgement and they caused his body to do things he did not command of it. He had to say a silent prayer for God to help calm his thoughts as well as repent for seeing Malia nude.
Her words broke his prayer and he cleared his throat before speaking. "No, I can't say I've had the pleasure." He had grown up with little money. There's wasn't anything extra to be used on things like arcade games. He had to focus on his cattle and making sure their needs were met. After all, the cattle were his living.
When she asked him what he planned to do on the next full moon, he sighed. "Until I find a pack or start my own, I plan to just shift by myself." He never ignored the call of the full moon. It made him feel alive and free. It was just who he chose to shift with that he was a little more reserved around.
He was silent a moment until he was sure that she was dressed. He brought his gaze to hers and he spoke with sincerity. "Did I upset you with my beliefs?" He had always been told he was far too conservative, but that was just how he was raised. He had to maintain his purity for God. After all, when judgement day came, he wanted to be able to confidently tell God that he had lived a Godly, fulfilling life.
