Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Samantha Cassidy
Samantha hardly cared for the protests that the white-haired woman offered up to her for reasons why she shouldn't wear the blue dress that she handed her. She was well aware of the pouting that she gave, and as such Samantha gave her no budging as she insisted on the dress. "Vhalla, you can't wear that on a date. You want to look pretty, and sexy..." She grinned playfully. "And you are both of those things, but you can't show that off in your outfit. Don't you own other clothes?" She teased. Still, the girl's face remained entirely serious as she sat beside the witch, listening to the girl talk about the fact that she hadn't been on a proper date before. Samantha nodded instantly. "I hadn't either, before Aiden," She assured her. "But it's easy with the right person. And if it's not easy, you never have to see him again." She gave her a warm grin before she let the conversation slip to a more serious topic: her new power.
She was relieved when Vhalla seemed to soften instantly, the faerie nearly squirming under the harsh gaze of the witch. With Vhal, it was too easy to speak of her powers and open up to the woman. She was equally relieved when Vhalla didn't seem upset regarding her power, instead just asking her to be careful. "I will," She nodded, biting her lower lip. "I still don't know entirely how to work it. I need practice... I just... How do you tell someone you need to read their mind for a bit?" She teased before she tugged Vhalla to her feet, pushing her into that bathroom with the delicate dress in her grasp. She expected the woman to argue with her, but she was pleased when she heard the woman almost immediately moving to change her clothes. "Good girl, Vhal," Samantha whispered to herself, sure that the other woman wouldn't be able to hear her.
Samantha anticipated the question that Vhalla offered her, the girl chuckling as she took her place behind the woman at the vanity. "You don't need blades on a date. You can take one. The others get to stay here with me." She paused then, leaning down to carefully gather Vhalla's clothing and shoes in her arms before she took them into the closet, dumping them on the floor. It was only moments later that she returned, producing a pair of black heels to hand to the woman. "You can leave the rest of your stuff here. I promise I won't touch them. I can tell they're steel." She smiled at the woman in the mirror before she went to work shaking her hair from the braid. "Leave your hair down tonight. It's so pretty, and in my experience, boys like to run their fingers through hair."
She stayed silent as she worked on the woman's hair, humming to herself as she styled it. She looked up only when Vhalla began to speak, the girl chuckling at the mention of their meeting. "He sounds like he might be someone who could actually keep up with you," She teased. The empath was well aware of the pleasure that the woman got from the memory, though she didn't voice it, not yet. "I think you're more interested in him than you let on, Vhal. Let yourself have some fun tonight, promise?" She shook her head at the mention of her address, shrugging a little. "It appears that I am not as inconspicuous as I would like to be. I had a hunter from the Council show up the other day."
She stepped back after a moment, moving to fish through the drawer on the vanity until she pulled out a tube of red lipstick. She put her hands on Vhalla's shoulders easily, moving to turn her so that she could apply the lipstick. She grinned to herself as she put on the makeup, doing the woman's eyes as well before she finally stepped back, satisfied with her work. "There. He won't be able to turn you down when you look like that." She teased just as the doorbell rang. "And it seems like you were wrong. He was serious. Now, get a move on," She tugged the girl to her feet, giving her a nudge towards the doorway and towards her date.
