Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The moment his arms wrapped around Amelia, everything felt normal and right again. She fit to him like a glove. He could feel tension leaving her shoulders as she leaned back against him, his lips brushing her ear as he told her he'd like to eat her. She said that she could say the same and he chuckled, the sound low and and hoarse. He closed his eyes and groaned as she kissed his jaw and nipped his skin, sighing in disappointment as she pulled back. As she reached for the Bourbon, he smirked. "Save some for the guests, love." Smirking, he reached over, pouring himself a glass too. He threw it back, making an "ahh" noise as it went down. When she said that she was nervous, he shook his head. "Tenley's a good kid, babe. She'll be great. She's got enough of you in her." When the doorbell ring, he turned toward the door, returning Amelia's kiss as he followed her to greet the guests. He grinned in welcome to both Sebastian and Dorian as the door opened, stepping aside when Amelia did to allow them to come in. At Amelia's words, he raised a brow teasingly. "I'd say they look well enough." Chuckling good naturedly, he held out his hand to both. His gaze swept back to his fiance, watching her play with the ring on her finger. His eyes twinkled knowingly and if she looked his way, he gave her a playful wink, his eyes darkening as if to say "soon enough, darling, soon enough." As he followed them all to the parlor, Amelia asked what they wanted to drink as she went back to the Bourbon. Troy was about to reach for his own glass when he heard the nanny call out. Turning around, his eyes glowed with instant love and adoration as Tenley came running through. Amelia was quick to catch her, holding her up as their daughter stared at Dorian and Sebastian in wonder. Troy took in her outfit with a wry smile. "Well, don't you look gorgeous, princess?" Amelia told the nanny that she got it and Troy offered her a reassuring smile as she gave an apologetic look and walked away. He knew Tenley could be quite the handful and once she set her mind to something, there was no talking her out of it. His smile turned warm as Amelia introduced Tenley to the married couple, his gaze sweeping over them, curious of their reactions. Then he saw Tenley looking at him and his brow lifted expectantly right as she held out her arms. Chuckling, he reached out, scooping her easily up into his arms and planting a kiss on her forehead. "Hey, sweetheart. Say hi to our friends. This is Dorian and Sebastian, but you can call him Seb if you want. His name's too long if you ask me." He smirked playfully at the vampire, though he mostly watched his daughter, curious of how this would go. |
