South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. we built this city on broken glass

Nadya's soft insistence that she would be there no matter what and that singular, soft kiss to his cheek prompted a faint quirk off his lip. Frost readily finding he appreciated the words even if he was....unused to them. He had been with Nadya now far longer then he had ever been with any other and yet this business of a relationship still continued to...surprise him. The idea that another cared for him in the fashion she did was still so unexpected, so unanticipated. Frost simply not used to it. Even after all this time. Yet- he was becoming, ever steadily, more receptive to the idea. His own emotions were near infamously absent, Frost a distinctly guarded being, one inclined to protect whatever humanity remained and yet with Nadya alone he was so attempting to display that care in return. Even if he often remained unsure of just how to go about it. This very agreement to meet her parents a furthered attempt to display that affection he felt for her. It would please her to have him meet these people and for that reason alone he had agreed to it. His veritable track record, so far, for meeting new acquaintances a decidedly poor one and yet he was assured he might make an improved effort here. He was capable of being nice- when he tried. When he so forced himself to remember the person he had been so very, very long ago. He owed Nadya that, surely, she alone willing to return to his country with him to face whatever waited there. For now at least, he was content to brush thoughts of that trip aside. His hand reaching to take his stepsons own and lead him towards the door.

That very comment so easily fell from his lips without any true intention. Frost, for the first time, uttering some hint of the expectations he held for them and their future. After all, was this not the way the world worked? Nadya was his first true girlfriend and yet he intended for her to be his last. They already had a family, of sorts and yet he intended for children of their own in time. A child he might finally raise from birth. One with a shock of hair as white as his own- although that very colour seemed to terrify Micah and Isabella entirely- at least when worn upon their Mother. A part of the stallion almost amused by their reactions. He had hardly spoken with Nadya about that future, about those expectations and yet he had simply assumed she knew of them and in the least, perhaps, desired much the same. Frost considering for the first time that such a conversation might truly be required- at least if it was so that Nadya believed that conception impossible. Frost's own gaze lifted to her then, those violet eyes watching her beneath that stark white hair, his features frowning slightly.

"Naja...."

Such words hardly progressed any further as Nadya knocked on that door. Frost's attention turned at large towards the woman who answered it. That question on Nadya's hair the first to leave the older womans lips. He had known her hair would be an issue. The stallion sighing inwardly before uttering his own greeting and trailing after his girlfriend into that home. He could smell them well before he saw them. Predators holding a unique scent all their own and one that pressed his own equine instincts into a state of alert no matter how sharply he attempted to repress them. The air was thick with that scent. The very situation let alone the close proximity of a species designed to devour him grating against him and yet Frost was nothing if not well practiced in maintaining that very shield. His features near as blank as always, giving away near nothing of the thoughts that turned within his mind. He required acceptance from these people and yet he had never before sought to achieve such a thing- at least not without some measure of manipulation. He knew what he was, he knew what he was capable off and he saw no need to apologise for it- yet this situation required a use of those skills in a manner never before truly needed. He needed the approval of parents. Approval earned without his usual methods. Frost assured these people would hardly find satisfaction with him if they knew the truth of him. This was a game he was distinctly not used to playing and yet he....trusted Nadya in this.

Frost easily followed that small party into the living room, releasing Micah's hand and allowing the boy to join his sister in their clear excitement at seeing their grandparents. How....curious it was to see a family. A true family interact. Frost's own gaze lingering on Robert as he moved about to embrace Nadya eagerly. The couple holding a clear adoration for the girl they had adopted all those years ago. That very introduction off himself seeing the stallion attempt to appear more....approachable then he so often was. His short reply readily seized on by the older man before he declared he had hardly heard about Frost at all and that such a name was somehow unsuitable. The stallion merely allowing one eye to lift as the women were quick to admonish Robert in turn. Hmm. How amusing. Nadya's insistence that such a name was a moniker seemed to be regrettably accepted by the man, Frost merely inclined to continue to eye him with a vague curiosity. The stallion already having seized the man up both physically and mentally. Men like this were easy to read. Yet still, some level of...companionship with the fellow was surely required. Those smooth, cool lyrics abruptly parting his lips then.

"Frost is a cultural name. I am Icelandic. I use Frost because my birth name is to difficult for most to say."

The stallion was hardly one to mince words in any sense. Frost content to provide that singular reason and explanation behind his name in an effort to appease the larger man's curiosity and yet he was hardly given the chance to offer any more. This mention of 'brothers' seeing the equine glance toward Nadya. There were more of these giant men? Cynthia's question on where they were going seemed determined to go unanswered for now, Nadya seizing his own hand and all but dragging him from the room and into the backyard. The pair paused on the patio. His violet gaze this time drawn toward the two wrestling felines as Nadya called out to them. Frost not at all assured he desired their attention and yet it was far to late, the pair already bounding toward them. That reassuring squeeze to his hand readily felt as the pair abruptly shifted. The ability to shift with their clothing in place, apparently, not a skill either had mastered or in the least- desired to partake off. Frost inclined to wonder if everyone in this family was so decidedly large. Both brothers, like their father, towering over his own far shorter, lighter frame. Still, there love for their sister was clear and that, if nothing else, was respectable. Nadya introduced them then as Liam and Ethan, the younger one quick to insist he would be eighteen shortly. Frost's own head nodded to each.

"Frost."

He offered simply, watching as they begun to dress themselves, the younger one insisting his hair was 'cool'. Frost inclined to decide he rather liked that boy even despite his near giant size. Cynthia, by comparison, was hardly a large woman. The stallion inclined to wonder how she had managed to produce such children to begin with and yet Liam's hand was suddenly offered toward him. Frost moving to take it and offer that singular shake. Those sudden words or warning unanticipated. A sudden, far more sinister notion tugging at the stallion then- that reaction an almost instinctive response to a threat, any threat- no matter how small. Frost's hand tightening against Ethan's own and yet he was quick to catch himself- this time. The stallion determinedly forcing down those less the pleasant instincts. That Alpha blood, perhaps, inclined to rise just a little in the wake of such words. His own personality, his species, equally inclined to bristle and yet he hardly intended to ruin this for Nadya. His hand relaxing in near the same moment. After all, he had promised Nadya he would hardly bring harm to what was hers and this family was surely hers. Those accented words finding him at last.

"Pleasure. What sort of animal are you and your brother?"

Directness, if nothing else, had hardly ever been one of the stallions weaknesses. He almost preferred the far more reasonably sized Tetradore. Even his panther form was hardly so large as whatever these boys were. Some sort of....hybrid? The stallion readily curious of them. His attention diverted only by that scent of food readily wafting from within the house. The scent of meat unmistakable. Nadya's brothers, in the least, appearing delighted over the prospect of food. Frost's hand reaching out for Nadya's own to gently catch her fingers and prevent her following the boys inside just yet. His voice low then, the stallion determined Nadya alone might hear.

"Do they know I am vegetarian?"

This- was not going to go over terribly well if Nadya had forgotten to inform them, the stallion glancing once more towards the door to make sure none of that family were headed back out to retrieve them just yet. This the first....real family he had ever truly seen.

"Your family are good people."

It was hardly a question so much as a statement he knew the be true. They were good people. Better than he surely was by that measure and yet such thoughts were ignored for now, Frost glancing once more at that door as if he were no more then a teenaged boy in that moment, the stallion stepping back behind the patio wall to tug Nadya with him and against him. His lips pressed to her own in that soft, stolen kiss. They were surely her family and yet she was entirely his own- of that he was assured. Frost hardly cared to explain that sudden affection. The stallion breaking away from that kiss only to wander behind his girlfriend almost teasingly, his arms easily loping about her waist as he held her gently to his chest, his head resting on her shoulder. Those words uttered softly.

"You were wrong Naja, about what you said before. We can have children of our own. It is...rare between interspecies but it does and can happen. The child will merely be one or the other. Equine or Feline. It is difficult. It would require actively....trying- but the possibility exists. There is research on it."

His head tilted slightly, his lips pressing to that sensitive skin on her neck. Frost hardly going any further on just what that research contained or how he knew it existed. At least not here and now. That conversation would surely have to wait for another day, another time, when a trip to Iceland did not loom before them and her brothers or father might not walk out of that door at any moment.

"We should probably go inside, I'm quite certain your Father could throw me the length of a football field with one hand and I am ill inclined to give him a reason to do so."
