Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

A rather soft breath left the vampire's lips as his crystalline gaze stared at the numbers upon the door. His hands ever so neatly folded behind his back, returning to that Victorian etiquette that was so ingrained within him. There was, as much as he hated to admit it, a nervousness within the pit of his stomach. After all, Sebastian's place within Dorian's bed was hardly secured by any means. It was a spot he kept only by the dutiful fulfillment of each and every promise, of the pleasure he was capable of inflicting, and to the tranquil and joyful demeanor he so strove to uphold. Within his absence, he was assured that he was entirely easy to replace, except perhaps for the ability of his own pointed canines and yet, the question simply remained - would his skills in bed have been enough? Were they enough to be forgiven? To be accepted back within that world he had so desperately clung to. Sebastian was entirely aware of the risk he took in returning as he did and yet, to stay away was perhaps worse than whatever word Dorian might use to so dismiss him. It was in this alone that the vampire preferred the truth over the ignorance he so often employed. He could hear the scrape of a chair against hard wood floors just upon the other side of the door, his spine straightening ever so slightly as the vampire did his best to calm those ravaging nerves.

He was distinctly aware of whomever it was riffling with what only sounded like locks on the door and then, slowly, it opened to present him with the one man he had been yearning to see. A small simper immediately crossed the vampire's features at the presence of his lover, and yet, Sebastian was hardly oblivious to the decidedly unkempt appearance of the stately fae. He hardly faulted him for such, of course. After all, Sebastian had hardly announced he was coming over, not to mention the already late hour. For a brief moment, his eyes merely lingered upon the familiar figure of the King and yet, the silence he was presented with saw him falter from those wants to so embrace the man. Slowly, instead, his head bowed ever so slightly, his accented lyrics offered ever so softly, "Good evening, your Grace." The vampire was painfully aware of the continued presence of that same still silence and yet, despite that, he remained entirely still beneath the weight of the King's gaze. His discomfort was perhaps noticeable only in his own body's tenseness and that uncertain swallow as he merely waited for his own judgement.

The fairy King's sudden movement brought but the softest sigh of relief though it hardly helped to truly assuage the worry that still existed within him. "Yes, thank you." He uttered softly, maintaining that air of politeness if only for the simple fact that Sebastian hadn't the faintest idea of where he stood with the royal monarch. His gaze but briefly moved across the space of the living room, noting the disheveled mass of papers upon the table and yet, not a syllable left his lips before his crystalline gaze once again turned back towards his companion. He was unaware, to some extent, of the emotions that so plagued Dorian with the simple exception of the rather unusual gesture of his fingers running through his hair. The vampire's head tilted to the side but momentarily, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. The aspect that his presence might have been that....stressful for the King was nearly heart breaking for the vampire, his lips pressing together ever so slightly as he so strove to maintain that aura of placidity, even if Sebastian was entirely second guessing this whole venture tonight. A part of him knew well that it was his own laborious travels that saw him jump to such conclusions and yet...that fear that Dorian might no longer want him was a very real thing.

Dorian's words brought a soft sigh from the vampire's lips, the man nearly entirely assured he knew exactly where the fairy King was going with this and so, without even hesitating, the moment Dorian's voice died of, Sebastian's own words fell tumbling from his lips. "I know, I know, I didn't mean for -" He paused, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly as those lyrics had begun to sink in. "Wait - you thought I had what?" He inquired. It hadn't occurred to him that Dorian might have been upset with him because the man had thought he wasn't intending to return, at least, not in the way that Dorian might have meant it. He fell silent, his gaze watching as his companion's eyes shifted away from him before admitting the three words that Sebastian hadn't expected to ever hear.

Those three words were enough to at least push those worries to the back of his mind, instead focusing the entirety of his attention on what he could only assume his companion needed to hear in response, words that were entirely easy to say if only for the genuine emotions that so existed behind them. "I missed you too." He stepped forward, closing that distance between the pair before gingerly cupping Dorian's face within his own hands. His thumb caressed the man's cheek as, softly, his lips brushed with a clear tenderness against that of the fae's. It was a decidedly chaste kiss and entirely fleeting before he pulled away just enough to ensure he held the entirety of the King's attention. "Dorian, I am not going to leave you, I'll always return to you for as long as you will have me." His hands slowly dropped from Dorian's features though Sebastian remained exactly where he was, one hand reaching up to scratch the back of his head in an almost embarrassed fashion. "I was hoping, perhaps, that you might allow me to make good on those promises I made to you...." Sebastian's voice trailed off, his gaze momentarily drifting towards the table before he added, "If you are not otherwise engaged?"
