South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

Nadya had stalled quite a bit when it came to making that call to her parents. It wasn't just a request for them to watch the twins but tell them she was dating Frost who was not a predator. It had been an interesting phone call to say the least. She had heard the hesitancy in her mother's voice with her father in the background adding his two cents. Honestly, shouldn't it be the other way around and the herbivore that's wary about this arrangement? They had accepted meeting him though, insisted on it really.

The morning that they planned to set out Nadya had decided to dye her hair. Although Frost had insisted he could use his ability to keep her disguised, she wanted his attention fully on the task rather than doing something she could easily hide with some dye. When the twins had seen her though it had been a complete meltdown. It was as if she were a different person with the near white blonde hair similar to Frost's. Micah had been the most inconsolable of the pair and difficult to get to stop crying and shrieking if she got close. Eventually though he had worn himself out and practically passed out for a nap. It had broken Nadya's heart but she had done what needed to be done. She loaded the twins and their things into the car along with her pack for her and Frost's international trip. It was probably the lightest she had ever packed. She had been assured that she could get things on their excursion after freeing his people.

Nadya remained silent in the passenger seat all the way to her parents home almost 3 hours away. It wasn't until they pulled up in the driveway of the white picket fence home she had grown up in that she turned her attention to Frost. "...Ready?" Nadya unloaded Micah from the car and guided him to take Frost's hand since he was still sniffly about her while she took Izzy. With one final glance to ensure Frost was ok, Nadya trudged up to the front door and knocked.

It didn't take long for the door to swing ajar, a petite middle-aged woman standing in the doorway. "..What did you do to your hair?" The look of surprise clear on her features. Nadya sighed heavily, "Hi mom; it's temporary." "Ok." The confusion was still clear in the woman's tone but she still stepped aside for Nadya to enter and turned away to lead into the house. Nadya motioned for Frost to follow through the well kept home to the living room. In the living room a viking of a dark haired man stood from the couch at their entrance. "What did you do to your hair?" His question echoed the woman's at seeing her but then catching sight of Frost, it seemed to make it clear to him.

Nadya glanced between Frost and her adoptive father for a moment before quickly starting the introduction. "Mom, dad, this is Frost...Frost...Cynthia and Robert." Despite the tenseness from the adults, Izzy was delighted being back at her grandparents place and happily hurried over to them, "Nana! Ganpa!"
