East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She couldn't imagine what it must be like for Alexander, to have a life so eternal and yet be surrounded by those who die so soon. What must that do to a person, to watch those you care about disappear again and again? All at once, her heart ached for the man across from her. Immortality must be so lonely. She caught his gaze and sensed that he was onto her, or at least, knew she was thinking really hard about something. She remembered his powers and hid behind the menu, pretending to peruse the contents while secretly, she was working against his mind power, should he choose to use it. She hated the idea of someone being in her head with her helpless to stop it. She wanted to let Alexander in, but it was so hard when she knew she wasn't the only one keeping secrets. The waitress returned with the wine and thankfully, they were able to fill the silence with talking about food. When she held up her glass in a toast, she was rewarded with Alexander's chuckle.

She tilted her head as he modified the toast. "Well, I don't have very much experience in dates, but I think this is a great start." She smiled before raising her glass to his. She watched with fascination as he took a sip, seeming to savor it before he swallowed. As he turned his full attention on her though, she raised a brow at his sudden question. She hadn't had a chance to talk about her life as a Were in Sacrosanct and yet she should have known it wouldn't get past Alexander that she was in a pack now. He had so many connections, after all. Her lips tugged into a smirk as she tilted her head at him. "Have you been keeping an eye on me, Alexander? Should I be flattered?" She laughed lightly before leaning back with a shrug. "It's nice to feel...included. I have my best friend, Raven, with me and the rest of the pack doesn't seem so bad. Tetradore is...quiet. But he's a fair leader with a kind heart, even if I don't think he likes others knowing that. They're a very unique bunch but they're growing on me." She smiled, this one a soft genuine smile as she thought of her new family.

Glancing down, she cleared her throat and brushed some hair behind her ear before looking back at him. "So, how are things going with Anastasia? Have you two been catching up?" She tried to keep her face as neutral as possible. Things weren't exactly friendly between her and Anastasia but she knew she was important to Alexander so that meant something to her. She just wished she didn't feel like she had to fight for the right to be with him.
