East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He didn't talk much as she laughed off his idea of her being anything so grand as a consort. She took his silence as silent agreement and though it might raise a little disappointment in her, she didn't let it show in the beaming smile on her face. It wasn't like she was planning their wedding or anything of the sort. She wouldn't know the first thing about happily ever afters or forever love. She only knew that she was falling hard and fast for Alexander but who knew when she wouldn't be too scared to say something? She was just another blip on the radar for him. This was short term. There was no point in planning anything beyond that. She was excited about the traveling part though. The idea that he wanted to take her other places around the world meant everything to her. She felt like a kid going to Disney World. He nodded along like he already had it all planned out. She was more than happy to let him take the lead since she'd have no clue what she was doing when it came to paperwork and what she might need to get on a plane.

As they sat down at their table, she couldn't stop looking around in wonder though. It started to make sense just a little when he informed her that the chef was a warlock. He nodded in agreement, saying he was enhancing the environment. She grinned, looking around. "How cool." She loved that Alexander checked up on the ones he saved. She knew he had to kill some to save those and she was surprised to find that she was okay with this. She wasn't innocent herself, not anymore. She had killed almost her entire pack. Yes, it was necessary. It was them or her. She let the ones ran who decided they didn't want to be a part of what her father was doing. Maybe that was wrong. Maybe they'd want revenge. Her father had a new girlfriend by the time he found her and she was pregnant with his child. She was one of the ones who ran, not wanting to risk her unborn child. But she didn't leave till after she watched Alexis put an arrow in her father's neck.

Alexis would always remember the look in her eyes before she ran. She didn't know how anyone could live with the monster who raised her but she knew one thing. That female would be back for her. Her eyes promised revenge that day. She shook her head of the dark thoughts though, putting the smile back in place as she hid herself behind her menu while she composed herself. When she put it down, there was only twinkling in her eyes. Alexander put in their orders and when the waitress came back, she held up her glass to him. "To spontaneous dinner dates." She smirked.
