The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was a good thing that she wasn't ready to take him back to a hotel and have her way with him. The one thing about Ashton that he tended not to share was that he was not the type of guy who took women home. He didn't like the idea of unattached sex. It seemed so much more meaningful when it was with someone you cared about. Perhaps that was his southern and religious upbringing that led him to think that way. He wasn't necessarily a prude, but he had morals and values.
It was her question about whether or not he called everyone ma'am that had him chuckling lightly. He nodded his head to her. "I must admit I call all women ma'am until we get on a first name basis. It's how I was raised." He had manners, probably more than a lot of people in this club. However, he also understood that such manners often made women feel special.
Realizing that he hadn't even introduced himself and he had already bought the woman one drink with the promise of more, he looked up at her expectantly. "My apologies ma'am. Where have my manners gone? My name is Ashton...Ashton Doss." He extended his hand for her to take and shake as custom suggested. "Might you give me the pleasure of knowing who I'm buying drinks for?" His accent was charming and sweet. The way the woman was looking at him was how many women looked at him. Was it his southern charm or his blue eyes? Perhaps his strange appearance in this nightclub. Everyone had their reason and most of them were superficial at best.
At her comment about his nasty beer, he laughed. "What? My beer?" He laughed a little more as he took another sip and placed it down on the coaster. "It is an acquired taste. I used to detest it." He had hated the smell growing up when his father drank beer, but over the years, that was all he could afford and so that was all he drank. Now, he had to admit he rather liked the flavor of it.
He offered to buy her another drink and she made him a counter offer, saying that her answer depending on if he could dance. Dancing was relative, he guessed. "I'm better at country dancing, but I can probably keep up." He had been to a few nightclubs in his days. He wasn't dressed for one of this caliber, but he supposed he could try to bust a move. "Care to dance?" He extended his hand towards her for her to take if she pleased.
