She loved the powerful grace with which he held himself. He always seemed to have it, that easy confidence that probably came from centuries of being alive. He must feel invincible by this point. She almost envied him. As it was, she was just thankful to be a part of his life, even if for such a small portion of it for him. She was so nervous about this date. She'd never been on one and she didn't want to look like an idiot in front of Alexander. He was just so sophisticated, so out of her league. It was basically like an Indian savage dating a wealthy Englishman. She'd read her books of Pocahontus and John Smith and that's not far from how she felt with him. She was sure he'd checked on the staff at the cafe on his way out. It was just the way he was. The cafe was his business but he treated the staff like family. She loved that about him, among many other things.
She was sure he could see right through her, not that she was trying very hard. She was too nervous to think straight. She knew he was trying to make her feel better, complimenting how she looked. She just felt like being honest with him. If not him, then who? He smiled back and shook his head before speaking to her in another language entirely. She raised a brow in question, tilting her head but even so it managed to drag a more sincere smile to her lips. "Thanks." She tried just accepting the compliment this time, moving closer to him where she felt more comfortable. He asked how she felt about the date and she let him know just how excited she was but also how nervous with the horses. They were prey animals and even though she was small in her Were form, she was still considered a predator. When she said she hoped she didn't look like an idiot, he said he would take it as a failure on his part and she raised a brow again, clearly confused how that could possibly be his fault.
She smirked and stepped in close to reach for his hand. "Then by all means, teacher...teach me." She purred as she looked up at him through half lidded eyes. She couldn't help but reach up and arrange his collar, more for the fact that she wanted to touch him than anything else. When she commented on being jealous of the horse, he said he would remedy that by the end of the night and her eyes twinkled at the idea, her lips tugging. "I look forward to it." She teased lightly. He winked and she giggled before letting him reach for her hand. Then he said they had a reservation at a pop up restaurant and her head tilted. "Does that mean they don't stay in one place very long? Like a portable restaurant?" She was curious, her brows furrowed. She was getting more excited by the minute, her hand folding so perfectly in his as she allowed him to lead her into the night.
